Hey. I'm Giselle Silver. Don't know me? You probably remember my parents. Jason Silver and Leah Michael Silver. Yep, that's right, they got married and had me. Now we're rich and living in Boston, Mass. We own a horse farm now, Cupid and Uranium got hitched and had my horse, Boom Boom Pow. She's Jet Black with a gold hue.

The bell rang and I stepped out of my class. I put my stuff in my locker and grabbed the books I would need to study. After that, I raced outside and hopped onto my bus. Today was the day that I learned to jump. I know what your thinking 'You live on a horse farm and your 13! But you don't know how to jump?' I had a bad spill and it took forever to get my confidence back. But now I was going to jump! my best friend Lisa slid in beside me. "Your vibrating." She commented.

"I know! I'm going to jump today!" I whisper-squealed.

"Cool! Your mom's giving me a lesson today too! So your dad must be teaching you."

Lisa boarded her golden chestnut Morab at our house and took lessons from my mom. That's how we got so close.

I heard the air brakes hiss and I gathered my stuff. Lisa did the same. We hopped off the bus and hit the ground running, we dumped our stuff in the tack room and changed into jodphurs and riding boots, I french braided my hair while Lisa's bob needed nothing. We grabbed our tack and groomed our horses. Lisa lead King George out to the indoor arena as I lead Pow to the outdoor one. My dad was on a Golden Champagne mare I recongnized. "Dad, why are you on Faith?" Faith was a little filly when she and my father had met, only a yearling. But now she was 20 years old. A little too old to jump, her daughter Love was watching us from the next paddock over. Love carried out Faith's mother, Hope's, coat pattern of Strawberry Roan.

"Well Love has an absess in her hoof and needs to rest and your mother's using Little Giant." Little Giant was the son of Giant, our Suffolk Punch stallion. "Now let's warm up."

A little while and a lot of trotting later, Dad was showing me how to approach the jump and get into two-point. I tried it and promptly fell back into the saddle, I tried again and managed to stay up. My sweet mare didn't mind the jerk on the reins, she always seemed to know what was going on in the saddle. I circled her at a canter and approached the very low .6 foot veritcal. I rose in my seat when my father called out and squeezed. Pow launched into the air and landed, cantering to the next, .8 foot, jump. I rose and squeezed and we rocketed over that one. I didn't even need Dad's warning to jump. I stopped and hugged Pow. "That was awesome!"

"Right? Now, no jumping without a spotter. Ever."

"Alright! Can we do it again?"

"Sure."

I pointed Pow back to the course.

Title: The Foal's Journey part 10
By: Horsesforever12

That night I knew I had to escape. The stalls seemed like prisons, and the barn was a ghastly jail filled with captures souls. I pounded the stall door with my hooves, but it didn't budge. "Psst," whispered another horse in a sharp whinny. "Do it like this!" and he stuck his tongue down to the lock and bolt on the door and unhooked it. The door swung open and the dark figure, clouded by the darkness of the barn, clopped over to me. And then I realized it was Silver Tongue. I remembered our fight, and my head swung downward. He seemed to remember, too, but that wasn't inportant at the moment. I unhooked the bolt, (after a few tries,) and woke Lady. She unhooked her stall door also and then we charged toward the barn doors...which were shut, of course. Silver Tongue seemed to master that, too, and then we galloped into the night. It felt wonderful to be free once more, with the wind in my mane, the cold and ghostly moon shining down from the heavens on my back, and the pounding of my hooves on the ground. I know the others felt the same. I tossed my head and gave a shrill whinny. We galloped onto a rather hard surface, and two flashing lights came ahead. I didn't know at the time it was a car, a very dangerous beast the humans rode around in. It grew closer and closer, and startled, I froze. I didn't move at all until the car smashed into my side, and every thing went dark.

Once upon a time,
There where 4 horses,
Each represent 1 of the four elements,
Earth, fire,water & air.
Air was the youngest,
Earth was the oldest.
Which one do you think is the oldest, water? Or fire?
Anyway, these four horses where sisters, and they loved each other very much! But air was very sure that her sisters where MUCH more powerful than her! but one day an evil wizard was threatening to hurt the kingdom where they lived! So they galloped to the heart of the kingdom where the wizard was! The sisters decided to take turns trying to defeat the wizard. Earth went first cause she thought she was the most powerful out of the sisters! So she tried to bury him in dirt, but he captured her! So then fire went thinking that she was most powerful of the 3 sisters left,
She tried to burn him but he captured her to!, then water went, she tried to drown him, by she also got captured! Then it was up to air to defeat the wizard, and save her sisters! But she thought she couldn't do it! And acutely she was positive that she couldn't defeat him! But she had to do something about this big old wizard, yeah, he took her sisters! And her love the for her sisters out weighed her fear by a land slide! So she angrily walked up to the wizard and said! "You must let my sisters go! I love them and i need them! So you can leave right now and never come back!" And so the wizard obeyed at once in shock at the word much older than What ha expected to come out of that little girls mouth! And so that lived long after and air had a new found belief he in herself, and her sisters had a new found love for their little sister! ~Lady bar

Pickles and Pepper

Pickles was the naughty one. He changed my whole life. Now he's gone, Pepper looks after me. I always see him, I think about him every second of the day. Although my heart still has a part for him, Pepper will remain in me as well. I only saw them both twice. Because grandma Kay died of kidney failure, and grandpa died,, no one looked after them. I live with a beautiful Arab, named bobby. Pickles and Pepper, rest in peace!

The White Barn Part One
by horsecrazygirl80

"What!" exclaimed Jenny Hudson. "we're not moving to England!" "Yes Jenny, we already told you we are losing our house and I've got a job there." said Dad. Jenny was in the living room in the New York apartment. Jenny could not believe she had to move to the other side of the planet.

Jenny could not stand it. She ran to her room. She heard her Dad sigh as she departed. "NOOOOO!" screamed Jenny. She slammed her door. Jenny cried her heart out. Being surrounded by horse posters did not help. She would lose everything, her BFF, her friends, her room, and worst of all, she would have to lose going to Grey Rock STables where she took riding lessons.

Jenny could not understand how her parents could be so thoughtless. Did'nt they understand?

Title: The Foal's Journey part 11
By: Horsesforever12

What happened? I am not sure to this day, my memories of that night are still clouded. The next day I awoke to a dark stall. I lifted my head and tried to stand. A stabbing pain shot through my side like a sword, and I turned to see my entire belly bandaged, with scars running along my neck and legs. I knew this wasn't the barn i was use to. It was a different barn. I saw Lady. "Are you alright?" I called to her. She looked up, and a rather nasty scar ran down her face. "Oh, Thunder, I am better than you! I saw your side when they bandaged it. It...it...it's terrible...all cut up and bruised. My leg is hurt, but I am okay. Silver Tongue has escaped. "Who helped us?" i asked Lady. "Oh, a lovely little girl!" exclaimed the gray horse. "A what? Humans are not lovely!!!!" I neighed angrily.

Chapter One

"Walk on, Champ," I urge my bay horse forward, closer to the still water of Thelman Brook. He turns his head and gives me an apprehensive look with his big brown eyes, refusing to move.
I cluck my tongue and nudge my heels into his sides. "Come on, buddy!" I beg him. We have been standing here for the past ten minutes and Champion hasn't so much as lifted a hoof.
My friends Caroline and Sarah are laughing hysterically on the other side of the brook. Their horses, Bambi and Maverick, had walked on calmly right through the water as if it wasn't even there. Even they seemed to be laughing at us, ears pricked forward and heads raised as if extremely amused.
"Heather, if I don't die of starvation waiting for you to cross that stupid stream," Caroline gasps, "I'll die of laughter!" and breaks into another fit of giggles.
"Champion, you're embarassing yourself!" I tell hi. I don't add he is embarassing me, too. As a fourteen year old girl who has been riding for almost ten years, and whose father is a proffesional horse rider, I can't even get my horse to cross a two-inch deep brook and I feel like an idiot.
**********************************************************
After finally succeeding by holding a treat in front of Champion's nose on the other side of the brook, and getting him to jump over it, Sarah, Caroline and I stopped at a fork in the trail.
"Which one?" Caroline asks, adjusting her slightly tilted purple helmet.
"We took Bear's Claw last time," I reply. "So this time we'll take Wildflower Path. That sound good?"
My friends nod, and Sarah moves Maverick forward onto the trail with hundreds of flowers blooming on both sides. They smell sweet and pretty. Caroline lets me go in front of her because Bambi sometimes kicks other horses.
Like me and Champion, Caroline and Sarah don't actually own Bambi and Maverick, but they'd sure like to. They ride 'their' horses as often as I do. We all ride together, actually - our instructor is Laura Westfield, and she knows that we're all good friends, so she puts us in the same lesson.
Sarah, Caroline, and me have been together since preschool. We all met at the same time, and the padlock of our friendship was locked as soon as we discovered we all loved horses. We're like the Pony pals - a threesome always sticking together with their ponies.

I hope you liked it so far!!

CHAPTER 1

"What do you think you'll do after winning today?" The Colorado News reporter asked. I would have to choose my words carefully.

"I'm going to keep training with Rio, and we'll win again next year," I replied.

"Who is your biggest competition?" asked another reporter.

"What are some training techniques your using?"

"How does it feel to be the world's youngest barrel champion?"

I looked at my watch. Six O'clock.

"Thank you," I said interuptting the mix of questions. I stepped down from the podium and my trainer, Jack, or Jackal as I like to call him, grabbed my arm and lead me outside to my horse's trailer. While the reporters might've disappeared, fans chased after me. I ran up to the trailer doors and worked on unlatching a door, while Jackal made sure no one got within a 10-yard radius of me. He even grabbed the cattle prod and started thrusting it in the air when people got too close. When I finally got the door open, I climbed inside the horse trailer and worked on closing the doors as best I could. Of the three stall trailer, I was in the middle stall and Rio was to the left of me. He whinnied to me, and I wanted to pet him, but I had to keep the doors shut. Too bad, they only lock from outside.

"Jackal!" I called. "Lock me in!"

I heard the sounds of the trailer's rusty latches being moved and locks and chains hitting the doors of the trailer.

"Safe," I said.

"Hey, Rio. Are you, OK? I'm being trampled by fans, haters, and news reporters everywhere I go," I told Rio as I stroked his blaze. His chestnut coat shined even in the dark. I grabbed some saddle blankets and put them on the ground in my stall. I took my shoes off and laid back on the blankets.

"Rio!" I shouted. He whipped around the last barrel, and I nearly got thrown off as he galloped out of the arena. I quickly turned him in a tight circle facing the score board. My score flashed, and the crowd went wild. I had won.
