Horses
by Crystalroses

Horses are your friends for life
Sweet, kind, friends to us
I have my imaginary ones
Ned,midnight and more
Ned is always getting in strife!

Midnight is calm and true
I wish all horses could be the same
Treated with love and understanding
My world of horses

When I Was Looking For My Dog.
By pinkey280

When I was looking for my dog I was looking in the fog. "Her dog,Her dog!" I called my dog in the fog. Then I saw my dog by a log! "Good dog, Good dog!" I said to my dog in the fog. When I got home I saw my horse, "Good horse, Good horse!" I said to my horse of cores in the fog.

When A Horse Is Born
by jeppocat

When a horse is born
the world has something new.
A new life, a new beginning
and a dream yet to come true.

The first step is always hard
learning how to stand,
not only on four legs,
but giving life the best it can.

There is hope for the foal's future
as long as he does what's right.
If anyone tries to hurt him,
he'll defend himself with all his might!

He will run around and jump up high
because he was born to be free,
and when he dies he will go to heaven
and be with his whole family.

A horse has a soul and a spirit,
just like you and me.
Although we are all different
we each have a life to dream.

Lucy
By pizza freak

Leaves slowly fall,
The sky a pale blue
Mixed with grey.
A storm,
I could see,
Was coming today.
I don't stop.
I can't stop.
I won't stop.
After all,
My horse is lost!
I was riding a trail,
Merry as can be.
I tied Lucy up.
I sat down for lunch.
As I bit into my sandwich
I heard a big SNAP.
Lucy was galloping away!
I hurried to the barn
To tell my parents.
We haven't seen her
For three hours.
I'm getting worried.
Where can she be?
CRUNCH.
CRUNCH.
Was that the sound of leaves?
I look over.
I smile.
"Lucy!"

The Beautiful Pony
By: Seemsom14

There was a beautiful pony
Her name was Snowy
Her coat is white as snow
She gallops beautifully in the field
Everybody loves her and wants to own her
Who will get to keep the beautiful pony?
ME! ME! ME!

The Mare of the Autumn
By Horsesforever12

The mare lifts her head, her eyes sharp;

Her amber-colored coat shines with a hue...

The mare is strong, yet smart.
<3 <3 <3

As the autumn leaves drift downward,

The horse canters through the wood...

Her eyes scan the mighty oaks that tower.
<3 <3 <3

She breaks into a gallop, trampling leaves and dirt;

The world flies by her as she goes faster and faster...

Her muscles rippling under her satiny coat.
<3 <3 <3

The mare is wild and untaught,

Her only thoughts are to run wild and free...

The Mare of the Autumn

The Lazy Pony
By:CowGirl7

There was once a lazy pony
Who definitely wasn't boney
His name was Mo
And he didn't like to go
He eats all day
To full to neigh

When Mo's owner want's to ride
He will run away and hide
When the saddle comes out
He will turn around and pout
But when he sees food
He changes his mood

If she asks him to walk
He will probably baulk
If she wants to trot
He definitely will not
If she asks him to run
Mo will be done

Freed
by Nat2

I open my eyes
To a cold white day
And sigh a breath of steam
That is softly blown away.
The tears on my lashes
Freeze into ice.
They fall to the ground,
Shattered in a trice.
I look through the window,
To my face in the glass.
For this coldness around me,
I know it will pass.
I lie in my room,
On the cold hard floor.
The bare, white walls,
The dark, barred door.
I shiver from the emptiness,
The murmur of the snow,
That strikes the panes so temptingly,
As the cold hard north winds blow.
As my eyelids slowly close,
And my vision slowly fades,
I hear a noise, sweet and pure,
A heavenly serenade.
I weakly rise,
And lean against the wall.
I hear the noise again,
and I hear a hoofbeat fall.
A horse! The neigh, it sounds again,
The cold runs from my feet.
A horse, so fast, so suddenly,
I hear its treading beat.
A fine gold horse, wild and warm,
Is rushing through the door.
It blows its warm sweet breath to me,
Its hooves crash on the floor.
I leap upon its back and cry,
such warm, wet tears of life.
We race away, from the cold dark place,
From the cold, footfall of strife.
And when we are quite far away,
Where the sun is warm and bright,
I dismount from my rescuer,
And the sun bathes us in light.
I embrace his strong, gold neck,
And he blows gently in my ear,
And we lie in the grass together,
Where life has forsaken fear.
How many days, how many years
We stayed there, I can't tell.
But we lived life to its fullest,
We lived it long and well.
But suddenly came the warm sad day,
When the stallion finally left me.
I looked into his warm, black eyes,
And the tears blurred and I couldn't see.
But he blew in my ear,
And I hugged his neck,
And in the knee-deep grass,
He left me there.
And I lay there and cried,
And my heart was sad.
Why did he leave?
Then I saw why he had.
I did not need him anymore,
A crutch to lean upon,
A warm soft place to lie,
A shelter from the winter storms,
I did not need it anymore.
I did not need it anymore.
But what I remembered, I cherished,

Forever.
