And thank you, admins, for trying so hard to get the slowness issue fixed. We really appreciate it. :-)) | Foalgirl8021 & Macola | 2014-09-24 03:16:12 | | if you want;) | ameliabrenes5 & Rascal | 2014-09-29 01:01:12 | | Well.. Macola is a 10 year old bay tobiano Quarter Horse gelding. (Gosh, that's a mouthful..) I just got him, technically, last week. I've been riding him for going on 5 years. He was previously owned by my best friend in the observable universe. He's been kind of a problem horse, though. The first time I rode him, he bucked me off. He used to buck or bolt when you tried to lose him, and kick when you got on. He was hard to steer and ornery. He wouldn't ride double and when we did, my best friend got knocked out. (Strange how I didn't..) He nearly broke my best friend's arm when he kicked her once, you could cleary see the outline of his frog in the bruise. He bullied her little mare and stole her food, always being the boss of everything. I can't tell you how many times we sat upstairs at her house, moaning and wincing in pain because we'd gotten bucked off yet again. Then, my best friend moved into an apartment with her family and they didn't have a place to keep the horses. They were considering selling. I begged my dad to ask our neighbor if we could use his pasture and, to my relief, he agreed. Then the two started to get buddy sour, having been side by side for 9 1/2 years. The mare would spin and rear, he would bolt. Once again, they considered selling one or both. My parents were distraught and, knowing that I loved Macola, they let my best friend's parents know that we were interested. They wouldn't sell to us because the horses would still be together. Another friend of ours that lived out near the lake, brought their horses back from their land and offered to keep the mare for them. After lots of thought and prayer, we got Macola, my friend kept her mare, and they are both doing great separate. :) And that's my story. | Foalgirl8021 & Macola | 2014-09-29 02:46:17 | | Wow. What a story. We are working on solving the mystery of our site slowdown!

what do you plan on doing with him?? | jjpals & Dynamo | 2014-10-01 23:44:03 | | He just wanted to make sure he was leader. Lol and yes, Amelia, he's a bit better now. Going to start training for trail class and reining with him, soon!! | Foalgirl8021 & Macola | 2014-10-01 23:44:03 | | Horse if you do! Lol
Hoping to start trail class mainly, and possibly reining. Me and my friend, not the same one, are also trying to get together an Equestrian Drill Team better known as a Flag Team. :3 | Foalgirl8021 & Macola | 2014-10-02 20:29:30 | |
