I have galloped for days and nights to get away from the humans, they chased me down day and night I hid from them, getting little sleep. As I listen for them I quickly drink and eat up. Once I hear there whistles and YAWS! in the distance I take off galloping, they drove my herd away from me and I from them, home is calling but I can't go back, I travel more during the night then I do during the day, very seldomn do I walk to catch my breath.
One day another horse, a friend and dear true to the heart horse I call Tornado Alley, led the men and their horses away from me, and I was able to rest up for a few days and graze and drink before I set onto the journey for a herd to be a part of.
one day as I am walking with head down and looking at the ground, I hear many nickers and whinneys to some horses, I look up, ears point up and I find a herd, I rear up and canters down towards them, I snort and rears up again, the flames in my eyes have calmed down so I not offened the lead stallion and mare. Dirt is covering my body and stickers are in my mane and tail.
"My name is Black Rose, I have traveled many days and nights, you may call me Rose," I snort with exasperation, "and this is my story....."
I tell them my story (which is what I just typed) and waits |
