Hi 9966332
I liked the movie. It was beautiful. But....
Are you prepared to see realistic scenes of many, many people being killed? The movie is about a horse in World War 1, most of the people that horse comes in contact with die. Many horses die too, of overwork or being shot when they cannot go on.
I was saddened by so much loss of life.
I do not think I will take Pam to see the movie, and definitely not Jack and Jill.
There is no profanity, but I am still troubled by all the death I saw in that film. In that way it is very accurate about war, men head into battle knowing it is likely they will die. Many, many do.
If you were my child, I do not think that you should go see Warhorse. As an adult it made me uncomfortable seeing so many people -- and horses -- die.
It is really up to you. But that is my opinion.

Yeah, I have to agree with Jane though I haven't seen that particular movie. For some reason the ratings tend to be a bit lax on war themes. I saw The Boy in the Striped Pajamas which I found quite disturbing--and that one isn't half as bad as some other movies! (in terms of war scenes)
Consider things very carefully before you go!
Try:
a) getting an adult to see it first and judge whether or not it's OK
b) check movie review sites with parent ratings. These ratings cover anything that parents have found that might be disturbing
c) see the movie once it is out of theatres so you can stop it or fast forward when you want

Is warhorse sorta like the John Wayne movies? There's nothing to graphic is there? Anything like the actual footage from WW1 and WW2? | mybuety & Pressed |
