We've gotta get you ready to go to that race in Rolling Meadows.*opens the stall door and steps in with a halter*I'm gonna tie you on the cross ties and then stretch is gonna come and brush you,*puts the halter on and clips him onto the cross ties*Then we'll put you in the trailer after all the gear is packed, and we're gonna go to your first race*grabs the brush box, then Stretch walks in.
Stretch:Sorry I'm late. I slept in*starts hastily brushing the shavings off Black Top's back.
Trevor:Stretch, we need to get to the track early to get him used to his surroundings, so hurry up*walks along giving orders to the other grooms and fixing water buckets or something along the way. |

Job:Groom and official grandpa to everyone on the farm
Horses:Black Top and a few others
History:Born(August 18th) and raised on a racing farm in California. He was a groom there, too. The farm went bankrupt when he was 18. By then he was an ex-rider as well as a groom. He got his jockeys license when he was 20, and won a good many of his races. After a while, he bought a horse in his sisters name so he could ride it. With that horse he won the Kentucky Derby, the Breeders Cup Classic, and other big races. Stretch retired after his horse died, and he came to work at Demon Wind with his sister. You could say that he is rich without lying, but he wants to work till his dying day.

When Chelsea comes out Eclipse's ears prick forward, and turn, one to Chelsea, and staying there, and the other turned back to Alex, flicking forward at times.*

*She walks forward, and puts a hand on Eclipse's should, standing beside Alex.*
"Brush a little bit softer, as soft as you can, it will get Eclipse clean, and it won't tickle her as much." |

Black Top:*Flares his nostrils and looks around then stops in his tracks and rears up.
Brehanna:Easy, boy easy. Settle down. Easy.*Pushes her weight forward*Come on boy, come down.
Black Top:*settles down into an elegant prance. Then the bell rings.
Announcer:Number 8, Black Top, comes out in a dead gallop, and takes the lead. Whitner in merely a passenger on this black bullet. Then here comes Very Vile, and Take Some on the outside. Then its Lady Great in forth, Barton Mile in fifth, Outsider sixth, Tornado Power seventh, and My Daddy in eighth. Now Very Vile is starting to move up to lead with two hundred yards
to go. Now its Black Top again with half a length lead. One hundred yards to go and Black Top is still gaining. Ladies and Gentlemen, I with this race were longer, so we could see if this horse, Black Top, can go even longer.
Brehanna:Okay boy its done. We won the race* stands up in the saddle to slow him down.
Black Top:*tosses his head, fighting for more rein, wanting to go on.
Brehanna:*trots him to the winners circle where Eli is waiting for them. |
