***Joining Up***
Hello and Welcome to Winning Trust Horse Farm for hurt or abused or what people call "Problem Horses" to come and have the mental scars and hurts of the past removed, to help them learn to trust again and to find new owners to love and care for them

Gemma: (Overreactive as she is... So fun to play it like that) Well I guess you should check your eyes. They were perfectly clear. *I turn on my heel and flounce away, thinking I'm not getting Marian to help with The Albino, I walk to Ajax and open the stall door, I hop onto her completly bareback, not even a halter* Go. Anywhere. *Without even grabbing her mane, I stay on as she soars away, her hooves barely touching the ground, we go deep into the forest until we get to an abandoned tree house* We had good times here. *I rub my hand along the floor as flash backs of my sister and I playing, our parents calling for us to come, a tear rolls down my cheeks as I try to stop the flashbacks, but they keep coming, the vacation back home in Spain, the boat ride, the storm, the wreck, the lifeless bodies floating away, the years in the system, the night I escaped, having to leave my sister behind, then coming back for her. The tears fall fast and free. I wrap my arms around Ajax's neck and sob freely, horse training connected me to my parents, my parents were horse trainers and I was good. People who doubted me made me sick. They make the flashbacks come. I had to leave or they would have been worse. I manage to pull myself together and I climb into the tree house, stepping over the boards that have rotted away, I pick up a book and wipe away the dust from the cover 'The Wild Horse' Kierra's favorite book. I tuck it in my sweatshirt pocket and find Kierra and I's collection of model horses. I pick up one that looked like Sky, Kierra had gotten her dream horse. I tuck that away too. I climb back down and ride Ajax to the river nearby, I wash my face but my eyes were still reddish, I ride back and put ajax back, I walk to Kierra and pull out the book and horse* I went there. You were right. It is worse there. I can hear them.

Kierra: I told you. *I smile at my favorite book and Sky figurene I put the model in Sky's stall and sit down to read the book*

Gemma: *I sit next to Kierra*

Kierra: I have a feeling Marian would understand your training ways if she knew who our parents were. But then she would also feel sorry.

Gemma: Which is why I haven't told her. Last thing I need is sympathy from people. I hate it. I can survive without parents. They're dead. Big deal. *But is is a big deal, the thought closes my throat and makes my eyes feel a little more watery*

Kierra: Don't say that!

Gemma: Sorry. Saying it makes me feel better sometimes.

Kierra: Well it makes me feel worse!

Marian: Gemma I- *sighs as Gemma runs off* Oh well. Who wants to come help pick up Duke?

(RM: What should we need to train Duke about? Give me your ideas please!)

Marian: *I call the house phone at Gemma's house, and Kierra answers.* Hello. Can you ask Gemma if she wants to come over and come along and pick up one of our client's horses? You could come too if you wanted.

(Actually MM, their in Sky's stall at WTHF, because tomorrow their going to Beky's house to capture the Albino and bring him back)

Gemma: *I look at my phone and see Marian, I hand it to Kierra, still angry at her*

Kierra: *I answer* Sure, I'd love to, not sure about Gemma. She's a little angry at you. And our parents used to own part of this farm so she went over there... She's not doing to good.

Gemma: I'm fine. And yes, I'll come.

Kierra: She's says she'll come, just come to Sky's stall. *I hang up* Better wash your face, you got some tear membrane on there.

Gemma: *I tie back my hair and pinch my nose, sucking in air, I dunk my head in Sky's water bucket and slosh it around, then I dry my face on my sleeve* Better? *I let my hair down and you can barely tell my crown is wet (not like an accessory, the part of your face)*

Kierra: Much. Wait. *I rub Sky with one hand and rub them together and gently rub the dirt on her face* Now it doesn't look like you just washed your face.

Parelli, what should Duke need to be trained for? A problem would be best.

Marian: *I drive the horse trailer into Gemma's drive way and hop out and walk into the barn.* Hey! You guys ready to go?

(Marian, there's not at Gemma's house. They are at WTHF, I have said that three times. I think Duke should have a problem with things touching his legs)

Gemma: Sure. *I let Kierra hop into the middle while I snag the Cowboy Seat*

Sorry I didn't quite see that post when I posted. Okay, and Duke's problem is decided!

Marian: So a little bit about Duke. *I say as I start the pickup.* He has a problem with things touching his legs. I'm going to figure out why. That almost always helps. You know, to find out the cause of the problem. So don't get near his legs when we load him. Here we are! *I hop out and ring the door bell. A man opens the door.*

Joe Carn: Why hello! I'm so glad you came! I just got this horse and he's an amazing jumper, but he was abused by his trainer. Some people tap their horse's legs with a bamboo cane when the clear a jump make them think that they hit the jump and it makes them jumps higher and tighter. It's Legal and not at all abusive and I'm fine with it, but they used more than a bamboo cane and they did more than a light tap. So be extremely careful. His feet are in horrible condition as well, because we obviously can't trim them or do anything to them in this state.

Marian: Okay. Can we see him?

Joe: Sure. *we walk to the barn where I put a halter on him and lead him out.* Here you go. You can load him.

Gemma: *I run my hand down Duke's neck* His muscles seem very good. *I look at Joe* Thank you. I have an abused horse, she was wild, then captured and abused, making even wilder. Then I rescued her. Thank you for rescuing Duke.

Joe: Well, I didn't know i was rescuing him to tell the truth. I likely wouldn't have bought him if I had. I was tricked into buying him.

Gemma: I knew Ajax was being abused, I saw her owners trying to ride her, they had sharp spurs and a pointy lash, when she would rear they would jerk the reins and spur her and whip her. They used a type of bit with spikes in it. I walked up to them and yelled at them. I told them it was illegal. They freaked and begged me not to call the police, but I did anyway. Ajax didn't trust anyone but me so they gave her to me. Now I can ride her completly bareback and she's healed. Next year we're going to breed her. *I smile, imagening Ajax's foal*
