I get there
All excited for it is my first lesson
My teacher tells me what horse I am to ride
Treasure is her name
She is beauty
For she is a Palomino mare
I climb onto her back
My teacher on one side holding the reins
For I am only five
The wind and grass wrestle
She gets frightened
Dirt is flying everywhere
I feel like a cowgirl
My teacher gains control
He says the lesson is over
That was my first lesson

On a horse ride

After we put on the tack
my friends and I decided to go on a hack,
what a lovely day for going out,
this is what riding is all about.
We walked down the lane, plodding along,
it was so perfect, nothing was wrong.
We chatted and talked all the way,
watching the nearby lambs play.
The sun shone down and was warm on our backs,
it was lovely on that hack.
The end of the ride was all too soon,
but we promised each other we'd go another afternoon.

Out of the darkness appear two gleaming eyes;

His large hooves are strong and tough;
He is gentle, yet rough...
His eyes and nose are keen,
His mane as soft as silk;
Ans he lives where human eye has not seen.
In a suit of black he charges forward,
Never before has he ever cowered;
He fights for justice, peace, and strength,
He helps the hurt and destroys the hurter...
He lifts his head high with mighty length.
With eyes like fire and smoky breath,
People say "he helped and then he left";
So it is true that day and night,
He shall ever be called:
The Phantom Horse of Dark and Light.

Christmas Time

Christmas time will soon be here,
come young and old have no fear.
Sit around the Christmas tree,
we may invite some company.
Warm by the fire,
Nice and snug.
Invite your puppy,
That's a pug.
Take your horse out,
Hitch the sleigh.
Happy,happy
Holiday!
