The Secret Place
It will be a place where girl of any age can go for encouragement, to share a testimony, or to just talk. =]

(Psa 91:1 KJV) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

(Psa 91:2 KJV) I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Thank you Maid Marian and EverlastingLove. Those scriptures touched me and I was in tears. Now I have one for you, For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13. That is my fave verse and it encourages me all the time! Sow it into your life and you will reap great things from it.

Ok, so I just want to join, and I thought I should right a little paragraph about myself, so here it goes...

Hi! I'm a 10. (11 in 4 days) year old girl named Grace P. I semi recently moved to Ohio, and was homeschooled for 2 and 3 quater years before that. I go to a Menonite church, and some of my great friends go there. I love reading and am almost the tallest in the 5th grade(5 foot 6 in). I regularly attend Sunday school and do a once a moth club thing. I love going to summer camp at Frenswald, a camp in Michigan. I also am an active girl scout, and go to troop meetings every other week on Friday. I am described by my friends as smart, funny, and I am one of the 3 people in my group of friends who has common sense:). I play cello, violin and saxophone. That is about all about me that I can think of!

Here are a few more of my favorite bible verses. :]

Psalms 34:5
Those who look to me are radiant,
the shadow of shame never covering their faces.

1 Timothy 4:12
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

I am also named Olivia, but since my middle name is Nicole, I like the nick name Nikki. I am 12, almost 13 years old and I live in the United States of 'Murica! I have 2 horses, 34 poultry bird things (29 of which have names), a dog and 2 cats. My horses are Pauli and Sebastian. Pauli is a cherry bay Quarter Horse and Paint cross mare and Sebastian is a chestnut Trakhner and Arabian cross gelding. My 24 poultry are 1 turkey, 9 guineas and 14 chickens. The turkey's name is Barney, since he's our deputy, he's named after Barney Fife on the Andy Griffin Show. 2 of my 9 guinea's I showed once, so they have two names, the hen is Celine and the rooster is... PRUDENCE! My 14 chickens are... Zeus, Ambrosia (We call her the chicken devil), Andromeda (or Andi), Scarlet (Scar), Ares, Aphrodite (She had fluffy head feathers when she was a chick, so Aphro is her nick name), Hermes, Ajax, Hades, Artemis, Bob (Scarlet's son), Athena, Simba and Angel. Ambrosia, Scar, and Ajax are Black Jersey Giant Hens (girl over age 1). Aphro, Artemis and Athena are Black Jersey Giant Pullets. (girl under age 1) Andi is my only Blue Jersey Giant, and a hen. Zeus is my only Jersey Giant Cock (rooster over the age of 1). Ares, Hades, and Hermes are my Black Jersey Giant Cockerals (rooster under 1). Simba is my black Americana cockeral. Angel is my white Silkie Pullet (only three months!!) My dog, Fritz, is a guy (do dogs have a fancy term for that?) Mini Schnauzer. My cats are both female (Again, fancy term?), the first is Sneakers, she's about 8 and is a Norweigen Forest Cat, Maine Coon and American Shorthair cross. She is also a Calico. Anyone who has cats knows what Calico's are. Insane. My other cat is Ladybug, she is 8 months old (I found out in cat years that would be 16 years) and we have no idea what she is! She's too small for her age because she was taken away from her mother before it was time... But she's healthy, and ADORABLE! That's my pets.

My favorite bible verses vary on how I'm feeling:

Happy:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son, so that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
-John 3:16 (One of the two I've memorized, forgot where the other comes from, but it's 'Jesus wept.' Shortest Bible verse)

Scared or when I need strength:

In Your strength I can crush an army, with my God I can scale any wall. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, leading me safely along a mountain path.
- 2 Samuel 22:30, 34

Sad or in need of comfort:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures: He leads me by still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of rightousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk in the shadow of the valley of Death, I shall fear no evil: for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: they anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
-Psalms 23

Those are my favorite verses.

I go to Church almost every Sunday, the only reason I've missed a few is because I've been sick those days, or I've needed the rest, or I've been showing at a fair. I go to my Youth group almost every Sunday (execptions of being sick or not having a ride) and almost every Wednesday (Or Tuesday) I go to my Churches choir practice. We're working on the Christmas Musical (I guess, it's mostly singing, though there are a few acting scenes) on December 8 and 9. I try to read the bible through every year, but I get to Psalms and loose my place and end up giving up, but I just un-covered a day-by-day bible reading... this is promising! I tried to read something called 'The Story' which is the Bible in arranged in a way that's like a novel. But again, not working. I have been growing spiritually with going to Youth, worship instead of sneaking down to teach the preschoolers and the occasional Youth Sunday School. I also have a school book that has Biblical stuff. It's the work book for 'Crispin' by Avi. It's a pretty good book, though I don't recommend it for younger readers (it's slightly boring).

I am homeschooled and in the 7th grade. If they ever do a speaking out for bullied kids, I would make a perfect speaker. I was bullied in the 4th grade when I tried public school. Since I was homeschooled (even though I was in the advanced classes) people thought I was stupid. I really want to speak out against bullies. Here's what I would say, though some has not come to pass yet...
"I have been homeschooled pretty much my whole life. If homeschooling had grades like Public School, I would be an all A student. I was bullied when I went to public school because I was a little overweight, previously homeschooled and socially awkward. So I went back to being homeschooled, now I have she-abs (working on it...) and shadow my vet, horses vet (working) and farrier (offered but still working). I also volunteer at Monticello (looking into it) and I am in my county's 4-H Animal Science club, Secretary of it actually, and in it's Poultry judging team. I am former Vice President of the 4-H Horse club and am in it's Horse Judging team (we're looking for a coach). I am in the Poultry Association and the National Jersey Giant club. I show my chickens and have gotten some good titles. I am looking into joining a bantum club, an Americana club and a Silkie club."

Ares is 5 months old and has gotten...

At my county fair: First class Jersey Giant, Grand Champion over all

At the Poultry Breeders association: first Class Giant and Reserved Giant (or American class, unsure which)

With him and Aphrodite (his showing pair) I have gotten:

At my county fair: Junior Showmanship Champion, Grand Champion Showmanship overall and Chicken Herdsmanship (a thing where they pick the person who most takes care of their animals, I only got it because the other two people there won Goat Herdsmanship and Raising Awarness which is speaking to the public most. And the other person barely took care of their chicken, the only other person that should have gotten it, I probably beat because I helped her out... a lot...)

So... That's about it. Please pray for my father who is in recovery of a knee operation.
