The winter has changed to a slight cold spring. The snow has melted and we can now ride and turn our horses out freely. Madelyn has been working on the breeding mares and studs to have perfect foals for racing and jumping. Even Dressage. One perticular mare named Catialan is in labor, and Madelyn is right by her side. Madelyn: *I closely watch her as she does the birth on her own. About five minutes later, the foal is out. Its an unusual coat. It has five colors. Dark brown, Cinnimon, black, white, and grey. This studders Madelyn for a minute. Its extremely weird. Its like a sacride gift from god, but an evil message. Madelyn ignores it. I then lean aggenst the stable devider and watch the mother and her foal reach their feet in more then about 5-8 minutes. Catilan gets up first and licks her foal clean. I get a towl and a small halter for the foal. I wait until Catilan backs off a bit and lets me touch her foal. I clean it as she stands back patiantly. I strap on the red halter on the foal and it then it stands up on its second try. Then I hang some hay up for the mother and decide a name for the new adition to the stable** | Varonnica & Vizeryn |
