Racing Pony
by kandydove

I want a racing pony,
who cant be lonely.
I want a horse,
who runs the course.
It doesn't matter which one I get,
as long as the deal is set.
I'm getting a racing pony,
who is not lonely!
I slide on his back,
then race him around the track.
Were ready for a race!
Or what they call a steeplechase.
We trained jumping, and running.
So Were ready to be stunning!
That's the story of my racing pony!

Azzie
by msjane

He came in to my life

front feet first

white pink nose unwrapped,

and he gasped.

Now he follows me

like a dog

and wants to play,

forever a colt.

"Where are you going?"

He watches me walk away,

I go off to do grown up things.

Freedom
By: hosessaddles
Hooves pounding on the ground,
Hair whipping in the wind,
Your body moving with the horse's movement,
Happiness.

Your horse's soft, smooth coat,
The silky, shiny mane,
Glossy, polished hooves,
Beautiful.

A connection with your horse,
A bond strengthening the two of you,
Your heart has found it's happy place,
Freedom.

BILLIE
By TheHorseRiders

I have a horse named Billie.
Everyone calls her Lily
She is rather silly.
She is a sweet filly.
She is grey,
And eats lots of hay.
She isn’t all that wise.
She tries to eat flies!

Twilight
By: Redbay

Ah! Another day! I thought as I sleepily crawled out of my bed. It was 6:45 AM, and I had a TON of work to get done before my Aunt and Uncle arrived. They were coming up from downstate to spend the week with us to celebrate our 20th foal. You see, my family and I, we breed and sell horses in Utah, USA. I was practically born on the back of a horse. That's all I'd ever known. When I found out that Rider, my all time favorite mare, was expecting a foal, I flipped! I was so excited!

But ANYWAY, I had better go start my day. I got dressed and went down to the kitchen for breakfast. When I entered,my Mom was bustling around, humming 'You Are My Sunshine'. The kitchen was filled with a mouth-watering aroma. I grabbed a plate, and began filling it with all kinds of wonderful smelling foods. When I finished my breakfast, I went out to the barn to visit Rider and her filly, whom I'd named Twilight.

When I'd aproached their stall, I saw them both lying down, with Twilight all snug and warm. They looked so Happy and peaceful, those two. It was just such a perfect moment. It made me realize just how precious life Really is. And that, I was so lucky To have been born on a ranch that breeds horses. They looked just as perfect and as precious as a Mother and her Foal can be.

Just always remember, that, while life is the most precious thing we have, we must never forget to enjoy the little things in life. Yes, that, and we must live in the moment. Not thinking about past or future, only the present. I read a quote once, it said "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That must be why they call it the present." Remember that.
