Moona before the Mababs

Prologue
Moona was gliding across the ice. She landed her Waltz Jump and did Shoot the Duck. She slipped and fell on the cold ice. "Nooooo!" she shouted. She had been dreaming. She woke up to her mother's freckled face. "Honey are you okay?" Moona shook with fear. "I'm not going to make it! I had another nightmare about loosing the skating competition!" Moona said. "Honey don't worry! Guess what, it's March 2nd and the baby's coming this month!" my mother told me. She was going to have a baby very soon. "Yay!" Moona said, putting on her skating outfit. She grabbed a turquoise bag with her skates and skate guards and little towel for the blades and put it on her desk. Moona put some make-up in it and zipped it up. She threw it over her shoulder and slipped on her sandals. "Have fun, honey!" Moona's mom said as she walked out the door. It wasn't Moona's dream to skate. Her dream was to train horses, and since she lived at a stable she was learning how to.  As she entered the ice center everyone was quiet. They stared at her and whispered very quietly. Moona walked away and sat down on a bench to put on her skates. She tied her hair in a bun and entered the ice rink. As soon as she skated off everybody spoke normally again. She did amazing things.  Later in the day the competition came, and Moona won first place!

One week later 2 :03 in the morning
"Get up! Get up!" Moona's dad woke her up and put her in the car along with her mom. "What is it?" Moona asked sleepily. "The baby's coming!" said her dad. They entered the hospital and sat in the waiting room. Moona read a book for a couple hours and then the doctor called her and her dad in. It was twin girls. "Mom what will we name them?" Moona asked joyfully. "Elsa and Ily, how 'bout?" said Moona's mom. Moona looked at the babies joyfully and pointed out which one's which. The one with blondish brown hair was Elsa and the one with reddish blond hair was Ily. Ily had brown in her hair too but she had extra red like Moona. "They're wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!" said Moona. Her mother handed her Ily. Moona rocked the baby slowly back and forth. "Oh over the hills and the mountains, Oh over the clouds and the skies, Oh over the rivers and bridges, There my sweet baby lies. Looking down happily and smiling, Protecting you from up high, Oh there my sweet baby, Don't wake to noises around you, Just let your baby self lie,"
Moona and her mother sang to the babies.

 The Decision
It was the morning after the babies were born, and Moona woke up to Elsa wailing for her mom. Moona got out of bed and ready. As she entered her parent's bedroom, she found that her mom didn't wake up to Elsa, so she picked up the baby and sang "Oh Over the Hills and the Mountains". Elsa fell back asleep and was quiet again. All you could hear was little breathing sounds. Moona walked into the kitchen and her father was making breakfast. "Mmmm pancakes!" Moona said, sitting down.  Her mother walked out with the babies and sat on the couch. Moona went to join her. "Honey, we can't keep this big expensive house anymore. We have to move, which gives you a decision. You can train horses, or figure skate. But you can't do both," said her mom. "I-I- I'll train horses! I'm giving up figure skating it was never my true dream!" Moona yelled. " We're leaving after breakfast, someone bought the house," her mom told her.

The Drive to Wiggins
"Mom, when are we going to be there?" asked Moona. "Honey, we just started driving! The drive is three hours," her mom answered. "Three hours!" Moona shouted. Her mom handed her a game sheet, pencil, and clipboard. "Ugh!" Moona flipped over the game sheet and drew a horse. "Guess what, when we get to the new house it'll have a stable and you can get your own horse!" said Moona's mom. Moona smiled.
 Angel
It was a dark morning in Wiggins, a month after Moona had moved. Moona was the first to get up, so she ran outside and looked at the paddock. It was empty all except for a box the size of a pony. It had air holes all over it. Moona walked back inside, wondering about the box. She grabbed her coat off the coat rack and put on her black leather shoes. "Flatfoot shoes," Moona said to herself. Her coat was a shiny black raincoat with black velvet inside. Moona ran outside past the box and down Pony Pal Trail. "Oof!" said Moona, bumping into someone. "Hi! Sorry I'm taking a walk, I'm new to Wiggins," said Moona. "We are too," said the girls she bumped into. "I'm Britnie, and this is Breanna. Who are you?" asked Britnie. "I'm Moona. There's a box at my house I want to see. Do you want to come over?" Breanna and Britnie nodded. When they got to Moona's house her mom was standing at the door. "Open the box Moona!" she said, pointing to it. Moona walked over to the box and pulled it open. "A pony!" she shouted. "I'll name her Angel." Breanna stepped into the paddock. "We have ponies too. Mine is Annie and Britnie's is Shadow," she said.

Best Friend to Mababs
"Let's wash them together!" said Britnie. Moona nodded. They had lunch together then afterwards they washed the ponies. They met every day at pony pal trail and did some thing special. They went to the mall with Moona's mom and took pictures in the picture booth. They babysat Moona's sisters. They walked Britnie's dogs Angel and Artemis. They rode together, and all sorts of things. Soon they became The Mababs ( Moona and Angel Breanna and Annie Britnie and Shadow).

___________

The MABABS did as planned and met up where they planned to, the Crandal's barn, the next morning. "Hey Brea!" Said Moona who had gotten there before Breanna did. "Hi Moon!" Said Breanna. "Where's B?" Asked Moona, who was watching her two equines eat their breakfast. "I don't know, she'll probably be here anytime now." Said Breanna. She got two buckets and went to the feed room. She put some sweet feed for Annie in one bucket, and fixed Cloud Jumper a special mash, since she was a little unhealthy. Dr.Crandal had ordered her to give it to the mare, along with Wind Magic and Black Ebony, for there were extra vitamins and healthy stuff that would help give the horses gain some weight and make them healthier. "Did you remember to give Wind Magic the special mash Dr.Crandal said to give him?" Asked Breanna while she made the mash. "How could I forget?" answered Moona. "Well, just wanted to make sure." Breanna said. "You're right, thanks for asking." responded moona. When Breanna was done with the mash, she walked over to Annie's stall and dumped the sweet feed in the feed bin. She then walked over to Cloud Jumper's stall and poured the Mash into her bin."huuuuh.........to bad we have to return them to their rightful owners." complained Breanna who was staring at the beautiful silver-white horse in front of her. "Who said they had a owner that wanted them?" Said a voice that Moona and Breanna recognized. "B! I thought you weren't coming!" Said Breanna happily. "How could you think that! Of course I would come to take care of Shadow! And especially Ebony!" Said Britnie. "What took you so long?" Asked Moona. "I had to tell my mom and dad, although my brother didn't care, about Ebony, I hadn't told them last night." Answered Britnie. "Yeah, I don't know about Moon but I told my parents last night!" Said Breanna. "Yeah, I did too." Said Moona. "Well, let me take care of Shadow and Ebony, you two go in the hayloft and I'll come meet you'll when I'm done." Said Britnie. She left the two girls to go to the hayloft. There were games up there that Pam had put. The two clubs shared the chest of games, but the MABABS had their own room of hay. One day, they had taken the hay and stacked three walls in a corner, making a room. They did this so it was private to only them. Britnie grabbed two buckets and went to the feed room, then put some corn in Shadow's bucket. Like Breanna and Moona, she made a special mash for Ebony. When she was done making the mash, she took both buckets and went to Shadow's stall, dumping the corn in his bin. The welsh cross pony eagerly ate his meal, munching it quickly so he could take another bite. Britnie went over to Black Ebony's stall and poured the bucket full of mash into the bin. She then went meet her pals in the hayloft. When Britnie met up with her Mababs in the hay loft, she said, "Hey Moona! Were's Breanna?" "Shhh! She's on the phone." Moona said in a whisper. "With who?" Mouthed Britnie. "I think her dad." Moona mouthed back. Moona patted beside her. Britnie tip toed to her and sat down. "Britnie, wanna see what she's talking about?" Asked Moona in a whisper. "Yes." Answered Britnie while shoving her ear to a crack inbetween the hail bale's and Listened to Breanna talk on the phone. "Uh hu. Yeah. The Crandal's barn. No no, were Annie is kept. With Moona and Brtinie. Yes, the horses haven't hurt me. Dad! I am fine. Ok now what was you wanted to tell? WHAT! I thought we were staying longer- But- Oh please a little longer please please! That long? Maybe that could work. Uh hu. Thanks so much dad thank you! I love you too ok bye." Britnie and Moona heard when Breanna turned off her phone. The bales creaked and then SPLAT! Down they came with Moona and Brtinie still in their listening potion. "Well. I guess we better put these up and I better tell you two what that was all about on my phone Hu?" Breanna asked with a smirk. "Uh hu." Moona and Brtinie said while nodding there heads. After they were finished, Breanna started on about what was all that about on her phone. "Well, back home, my dad said he could get a job here, he did. But then his old job wanted him back. But he has a few months left. I am going home, in a few months." Breanna looked down. "But were will Annie stay?" Asked Moona. "There's a Stable's were I used to ride horses. Dad said if Cloud Jumper isn't claimed then we can take her with us. I could grow into her. Like I said, I rode HORSES at the old stable, here I learned to ride ponies." Breanna said sadly. "But we can keep in touch! We can send you mail and post cards." Moona said trying to cheer everyone up. "Dad said we might be able to come here on summer vacation." Breanna said doubtfully while lifting her head. "Ok, well, it's MONTHS AWAY! Let's have as much fun as possible! And no matter WHAT, we will always be the MABABS!" As Britnie said that she jumped up and put her hand in. Moona looked up and smiled she bounced up and put her hand in to. Then Breanna smiled a crooked smile, but put in her hand too. They lifted up their hands and yelled Mababs and ended in a big bear hug. They then went down the ladder to the barn isle way. When they all were at the bottom, they talked about what they should do that day. "How about we start on those Missing Horse posters?" Breanna suggested. "I was going to suggest going for a trail ride, ponying the horses?" Britnie said. "The poster is more important, although that means there's a sooner chance of the horses being claimed...." Moona said, sighing while looking dreamily at Wind Magic. "True, let's get started then, should we draw them or take a picture?" Asked Britnie. "Let's draw them, because these horses are so beautiful, even people who aren't their real owners would come to take them away." Breanna said. "Yeah!!! we could draw them REALLY UGLY!!!" Britnie said. "Yeah! Let's do that!" Shouted an overexcited Moona. "Okay, Britnie, go get your Art supplies!" Said Breanna. "Okay Brea!" Britnie said running. She came back with a box of art supplies and a pile of paper. She handed one piece to each person and put the art supplies in the middle. Moona was the first to grab a pencil, Breanna was second, then Britnie. "I think I'll give him a fat head and a...um...tiny body. Yeah, that's right, big head, small body. It'll work!" said Britnie. "I'm going to color Wind all sorts of ugly colors and make it look like he's not even a horse!" said Moona eagerly. "Moona, he looks like a really really fat giant rat with long legs! Well, it is really ugly," Breanna said, giggling like a hyena. "Don't laugh your heart out Brea!" said Moona, laughing so hard that she almost splashed a puddle out of her on the ground. Then Britnie joined their laughter, but soon Moona started caughing horribly. She couldn't stop! Brea called a doctor. Everyone in the room was terrified! "Blow the SOS whistle! NOW!!!" screamed Britnie. Breanna blew the whistle and all three of their mothers came over. Moona's mom took the phone and everybody started patting Moona's back hard. Moona then strangely coughed out a big blob of water. "Oh no!" said Britnie and Breanna. An ambulence pulled up and doctors came in to help Moona. One grabbed her and started squishing her tummy. Everyone covered their eyes. Then they opened them and the doctors had gone. "It wasn't that big of an emergency. I recently was in a flood at camp and I tripped in the hallway. I must have breathed in some water, but the water needed my hard laughing to come out. Makes sense, doesn't it?" asked Moona. "It sure does," said Britnie, helping her friend up. "Aye! I'll clean the ground," offered Breanna's mother. "Okay," answered The Mababs. "Good thing the water came out!" Breanna exclaimed. "Yeah." Britnie said. They both heard a loud scard neigh behind them. They all looked and Wind Magic was trying to reach out to Moona. "HA!" Moona called out. "Like you said Moon. Love at first sight!" Breanna said while laughing. Moona stepped over and petted Wind Magic. Mrs.Crandle then came in to the barn. "So are these horses able to ride?" Mrs.Crandle asked. "Um-no." Britnie said sadly. "Well, I was thinking that these horses need exersie. Why don't we lunge them and try to break them in?" Mrs.Crandle asked. "Oh Yes!" Moona cried. "Yes please!" Britnie exclaimed while hugging Black Ebony. "Um-Ok." Breanna said unsurly. Breanna was scared of being bucked off. And she didn't know if it was Wind Magic who kicked her or Cloud Jumper. "Breanna, come ON,"said Moona. "It'll be fun." Moonna took Wind Magic to break him in, followed by Britnie and Black Ebony. Breanna froze, then turned her head to look at Cloud Jumper. Cloud just tilted her head and gave a look that said,"I feel like you do. But I kind of want to give it a try." Breanna reached out to rub Cloud's muzzle. "I guess I COULD give it a try," Breanna said softly. She closed her eyes and put her head out to touch Cloud Jumper's. "You do that, Breanna," said a soothing voice. Breanna jumped and opened her eyes to look around. It was only her and Cloud alone in the room. Breanna took Cloud Jumper out to join Moona and Britnie, wondering about the voice. After Breanna came out with her MABABS Mrs.Crandle came over to them. "This is gonna be a bit hard because e don't know if they are broken in yet. So I will be in the areana to help you. Who first?" Mrs.Crandle asked as she looked at each of them. "Uh I will!" Moona called eagerly. "Then me next!" Britnie said excidedly. "Ok then me last." Breanna said doutfully. "That's fine," said Mrs. Crandal. Moona put her head to Wind Magic's cheek. "We can do this, boy, you know we can," Moona whispered softly, rubbing his neck. She walk into the arena with Mrs. Crandal and over to the the mounting block. Moona put her hand on Wind's back and slipped up into place. Mrs. Crandal led Wind out the the middle of the arena. "Lunge a little, that's it, slowly." At fist Wind buck but kept Moona on. Moona tried again twice before Wind understood. He started walking around the arena, he was broken! "How could it-" "I understand, Moona," a strange voice cut her off. It was silent. As Moona rode out she kept glancing around for something. Britnie walked in and when she tried first Black Ebony went wild! Then Britnie fell off! She tried a couple more times and then Ebony understood. Same for Breanna. "It wasn't THAT bad," she said. Moona, Breanna, and Britnie led the horses off to the pasture, but didn't let them go immediately. Britnie went to the left about ten feet. Moona went straight, about ten feet like Britnie, and Breanna went to the right, about ten feet like the the other MABABS. Britnie hugged Ebony's head, talking soothingly. "Hey boy, you did great." She said. She closed eyes and listened to the soft breathing of Ebony. "I'm glad I did." Said a voice Britnie never heard. "Ebony, that's strange, did you hear that?" Britnie then stepped in front of the horse, looking between his eyes. Ebony looked at her with big, soft eyes. Britnie didn't hear the voice anymore. "Well, goodnight boy, be good." She said and patted him on his shoulder. "Goodnight." Said the voice. Britnie looked around, no one was near. "Strange! I must be hearing voices!" She said. She walked over to the gate and sat on it, waiting for Moona and Breanna. "That's a good boy!" Said Moona. "You did so good!" She exclaimed. "Good! I'm so glad I did!" Said an excited someone. Moona looked around. "Well, goodnight boy, see you tomorrow." Moona walked off strangely, joining Britnie. They then waited for Breanna silently in their own thoughts, both wondering what the mysterious voice was, and where it came from. Meanwhile, Breanna was petting Cloud Jumper. She wondered about the weird voice she heard earlier that day. "I'll try what I did earlier." She thought. She closed her eyes and talked to Cloud. "You were very good today girl. You are very pretty, you know that?" she said. "Thank you!" said the voice. "WHAT WAS THAT!!!!" Breanna was surprised again and opened her eyes. "Bye Cloud! I'm going go have a meeting with my pals!" Breanna said while running to, of course, her friends. "Guys! I have something important to say! We'll have a meeting tomorrow at 8:00 in our hay room!" Breanna didn't stop, she ran off in the night to her house. "Well, goodnight B." Moona yawned. "Yeah, goodnight....." Said Britnie, still confused about the voice. So they both went to their houses for the night.

What is that voice? I guess there are still mysteries going on, huh? You may find out the secret in the next part.....but I'm not promising!
