***CPP MOMS CLUB***

We are having more fun with Club Pony Pals! My children made an account for my husband, as a surprise! He actually got on the computer last Sunday and played with his pony for a bit. The children were thrilled. He doesn't have time to "play" all the time, but the children were glad he got to play a bit. We are all hoping he will take some time to relax on the weekends and "play" a little while. He listens to us talk about CPP all the time, so he knows a lot about what is going on.

I hope that more moms join up to play with their daughters - and sons. I am really enjoying CPP with my children, and I love getting to know everyone here. And I am amazed at how my children are improving their typing and writing skills, courtesy of Club Pony Pals!

Hi Moms! I'm just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Does anyone have any special plans for this fall? We are taking a vacation, and will be resuming our studies after Labor Day. As always, we are enjoying the time we spend with CPP!

The Pony Pals all start school September 1st. They all HAVE TO WEAR BLUE for the first day so they match. :)

Jack and Jill are about to start kindergarten. It will be very quiet in the house when they are in school.

Quiet in the house? What is THAT like? LOL.

Actually, our house has been fairly quiet during the day. We are using workboxes this year, so I am able to put all the individual work for both Coolguy and Nat2 in their workboxes. We do our group stuff together, then they go to the rooms and do their individual work. If they need to work with me for something, like spelling, I write that on their instruction note, and they come and get me. I go back and forth between them. They both have enjoyed using the workboxes. We all like the fact that I can include fun things in the boxes too, like "Come see me to play a game of Addition War".

Oh, flash cards are a lot of fun! I made some Latin cards, but I only wrote on one side. I put the Latin word on one card, and the translation on another card. We add ten cards every lesson - five vocabulary words per lesson. We use them to play "Go Study" (like "Go Fish"), and Concentration. We also take the cards and lay them in a spiral on the table, then take some of Nat2's plastic animals for game pieces. We roll the die, then move. If we can translate the word we land on, we get to stay. I have colored cards for the start and finish space.

Hi Foalgirl,

Thanks for telling her about the club. I'm sure she is really busy! Please tell her we would love to "meet" her if she has the time to come on and say hello.

Why thank you, Eagle! Is it OK if I call you that? My daughter made up that name. She is really fun to talk to! If you are not friends with her, send her a friends request! She would love to have y'all as friends!

Of course, foalmom! Yes, foalgirl is my pal! You're right, she is fun to talk to. I missed the sleepover chat this evening, but Nat2 (my daughter) was on and told everyone hi for me. I had forgotten to thaw out the fish for supper, so we were running late! LOL. I'm so glad you were able to join us here on the Moms Club!
