**** stop horse slaughtering ****I know that they are targeting retired racers. Because they have so much muscle. I can type it out. Who should we send it to? How about this.
Dear -----,
I belong to a website called Club Pony Pals. There are little clubs in this site, one is called 'Stop Horse Slaughtering' and we decided to send a letter to an offical. We decided on you, the ------- -- --------. We have found out many facts about it, like that kill buyers, as we call them online, are targeting retired racehorses. And that they are also going to horse auctions to buy some. I have a story about that. My riding instructor was driving down the road with her horse trailer, when she saw a crashed Tractor Trailer. She, being a very kind Christian woman, pulled over and asked what happened. The man in the truck replied 'I was on my way to the factory and crashed. I think that this horse is okay.' he only had one horse. She looked back and saw a beautiful Palomino pony. She bought him and rehabilitated him. She still has him, I used to ride him, and he remembers. Every time I go in the pasture, he walks with me, he is a perfect image of the horses lives that could have been saved by a good person. Dream Sickle, the pony, is very old and very sick, he can't proses food like he could. Mustangs are also in danger of slaughter. The BLM in Nevada doesn't care anymore. They are capturing Mustangs and putting them to sleep, they are targeting the foals more then adults. Mustangs are part of the American image! They are what I, as a horse lover, picture when I think of the United States. The fate of the Mustangs, and horses, rests in your hands.

Ruffian: Suffered a bad Compound Fracture on the track, had surgury, thought she was still galloping and broke her other leg, She had to be put down. Eight Bells: Broke both of her Front Ankles and was put down on the track. Barbaro: Suffered a fracture on the track and his owners didnt want to pay the bills, they let him heal, then he had a relapse (It came again) with a break, they put him down. |
