I live in Australia and my Aunty in a town called Melbourne rescued this very sweet palomino mare called Moppet. Moppet had laminitis and her owner was going to sell her to the slaughterhouse for $40. But my aunty loved this pony so much, she bought her. So Moppet is safe.
I heard from a friend that there is 10 million slaugherhouses in America (is this true).
I'm 13 and when I grow up, I wanna rescue horses from the slaugherhouse and train them and if the horse is ok, sell it to GOOD and LOVEABLE owner.

| Okay, I think that horse slaughtering is the worst thing ever. Did y'all see that Obama is allowing Americans to eat horses now?? He is so dumb! Then, I go to school the next day and tell people about it, and of course, they say, "Well, horses are a cattle animal". Cattle animal or not, they shouldn't be eaten. What did cowboys ride? What did soldiers ride into war? What pulled carts when the car was not yet invented? And also, the catching of wild mustangs.....what word is in front of mustangs? WILD! I thought America was the "Land of the Free". Apparently, it is the "Land of Money Talks". |

Okay, does anyone know how to get ahold of the White House? I think it would be great if we could somehow all write letters to Obama before he is voted out next year. IDK. I want to give him a piece of my mind.

| sorry jane. I didnt mean to sound like i love the idea of it. but the whole obama thing is unacceptable, and I am a horse lover, i have a dog, my neighbors/friends have cats, girbels, guine pigs, ect. and I hate the idea of them eating their pets!! Gross!!! |
