| I'll do it one day, I have a major science test that i'm doing tomorrow, and was gone all day Saturday, it's just been crazy. I might have to skip this first one. |

I rub my mane and tail comb through her already perfect mane and tail, I pick out her hooves and apply Hooflex to them. I rub her with the silk cloth so she shines even more. Then I gently put the saddle pad on her and slide it back a touch, then I put her padding on, gently laying it on, and then I gently swing the expencive tree-less jumping saddle on her back and gently lay it down* Lady. Breathe out when I say. *I tighten the girth* Now.
Lady: *Breathes out* Is that OK?
Gemma: Yeah. *I tighten the girth again, checking it on both sides to make sure it won't unbuckle. Then I put the Breast plate on, I strap on her boots and take off her halter, she stands there and I put her double bridle on, she allows the bit into her mouth and flexes her neck, I strap in and attach it at the throatlatch* You ready girl?
Lady: Ready ath I'w eveah bee *Her speech is affected by the bit*
Gemma: *I take off my coveralls to reveal perfectly untouched show clothes, and put on my helmet and mount up, I bring up my inner rythum and Lady walks, we go through the gate and I walk her to the judges table* Look nice. *I answer their questions with Lady posing under me. Then I salute and ask her for a trot, I post in the perfect diagonal until I ask her for a canter, I slide into the saddle and ride her in a rocking horse gait, then I turn her to the jump (without moving the reins) and count the lengths, with 2 to go, I rise into my 2-point and squeeze Lady a little, as she takes off, I whip off my Aviators and place them on the jump, so I can re jump. When she lands, I pretend to be worried about my Aviators so I double her back, tie the reins, then Lady takes off at a fast gallop without me holding on to anything, she takes off and I rise with her, standing in the stirrups with my arms out to the sides, I lean over and grab my Aviators. We slow and trot over to the judges, my still not holding to anything, but posting as well as I was before. I stop and Lady stops in front of the judges table, they tell me how amazed they are, how dangerous that was etc.* I know.
Lady: That's why she did it.
Judges: *Faint*
Gemma: *Laughs and gallops towards the tall fence and Lady Soars over it, I dis mount, un-tack her, and groom her, I walk her over to the walker so she can cool down* Your a good girl. *I hug her before attaching her and going down to watch the rest* |

Riding clothes: light blue polo shirt, black jodphurs, ariat short boots and black air fusion gaitors, skull cap and brown grip gloves.

Personality: Very competitive, can be annoying but is kind to her friends.

Barn tack: shabby red poly pad, snaffle bridle with pink linings, brown leather saddle with a grey saddle supourter, Back brushing boots.
Show tack: Tan and black Stubben saddle, three ring gag with fench link, black leather bridle with silver diamonds on the browband, mailor bridgeing reigns and back and front brushing boots in black with soft sheepskin insides.
Likes/dislikes: Likes: being ridden by lots of people, galloping, jumping really high, fast jump offs, drag hunting. Dislikes: Other people winning, small jumps, Stephanie getting hurt, Dressage.
personality: Competitive, likes being on the go and won't stand around for a single minute.
I trotted through the gates at high speed, as per usual my horse box had broken down and the only way to get to the stables was to canter there, I had slowed down slightly but Dekka had wanted to go faster so I decided that a fast trot was best and she, despite really wanting to gallop, agreed. I slowed down to walk in the yard and another girl called out for me to go into the arena and jump the jump. I walked her slowly towards the arena, as soon as she entered the arena her ears pricked up and she started jogging, I then sat deep and pressed her forward into a bouncy canter. She moved forward pushing upwards with her backlegs, ready to push off the ground. She then lifted her front legs and pushed off the ground with her back legs, she flew through the air, gliding as if she had pearly white wings pushing her through the sky. I leaned forward ever so slightly as she went over the jump; we landed smoothly and she whipped her head into the air and nickered loudly before giving a friendly buck into the air as the show off she is.

Britnie: *puts on a polo and riding pants, then zips my half chaps. Grabs my helmet and walks out to the barn. Halters Almas in her turqouse halter. Brushes Almas off, starting with a hard brush then a soft brush, then picking out her feet and combing her flowing mane and tail. Grabs my wintec saddle and bridle from the tack room. Places the saddle pad on Almas back, placing it a little ways on the neck, then sliding it back to the correct place. Swings the saddle over my head and places it on Almas back, velcroing the saddle tabs. Walks over to Almas off(right) side and buckles the girth to the billets. Walks back to her near(right) side and buckles it, tightening it just enough so the saddle won't shift. Puts the bridle up next to Almas head and sticks my thumb in her mouth to make her open her mouth for the bit. Slides the bit into her mouth and buckles the cavveson and the throatlatch. Walks out to the mounting block and checks Almas girth, tightening it. Slides my stirrups down and steps onto the mounting block. Places my left foot into the stirrup and swing into the saddle, landing slightly. Tightens the reins, making sure there's some contact, and walks Almas in a circle outside the arena, warming her up. Picks up a trot and trots Almas into the arena, picking up a canter a stride inside the arena. Canters a courtesy circle, then canters towards the jump. Almas pricks her ears at the flowers, looking at them for a second, then realizes it's just flowers. Goes into tow-point as Almas reaches the base of the jump and starts to jump. Starts to sit back down as Almas lands, and canters away from the jump. Canters for about haf an arena, then slows down to a trot then a walk, and walks out of the arena, praising Almas the whole time. Cools Almas out then dismounts. Ties Almas up, and untacks her. Walks her to the wash rack and hoses her off. squgees her off and walks her back to her stall, stopping to grab a few treats. Unhalters Almas in her stall and gives her the treats.* Good girl Almas! *Hangs the halter up on the stall and walks out to the arena to watch the others.*
