Good. *I walk her not to the ring, but to the tack room, I change her into a hackamore and 22 foot line, grabbing my carrot stick I walk her to the ring, I raise the lead rope and point, then with my foot, I swirl the carrot stick and slap the ground a little behind her hard, she rears and takes off at a gallop, but instead of bringing her in, I let her figure out that this won't hurt her, sure enough, she slows to a canter, then trot, then walk, and then I bring her in, rubbing her, then I play friendly game with her until she is calm, then I play circling game with her a lot, then she is calmer, much calmer. I play some other games like yo-yo (back her up, and then draw her in) and Hide the Hinny (sending her rear end around in circles) until she is very calm, I tie the end of the lead to the hackamore and hop on, I wait until she has stopped prancing and hold her still, then I pat her after she is calm for a couple seconds, then I walk her around the ring, then I trot her, posting a small amount and she takes off at a gallop, I sigh and deflate, then I make her go in tight circles until she stops, I wait another couple of seconds and pat her, then I ask her to walk, trot, canter, gallop,i slow her by the gate and undo it, I go out on her back and we canter up to Luna* Here we are. *I stop the now calm mare, her neck curving delicatly, even though my 'reins' are on the 'buckle', I dismount, not even grabbing her reins, she follows me to the mare's owner* Here. *I hand here the reins to her now calm horse, I also hand her the carrot stick and an instruction manual and the games* This will help, she's not completely cured. *My ice blue eyes look up through my side-sweep bangs* |

Luna gave the girl a startled look. "That's... magic! You must be some kind of horse whisperer, because this horse has never obeyed commands before." She took the reins, carrot stick, and instruction manual, then bowed slightly, although that was pretty hard to do with her hands full. Rocky clapped from her place on the fence, and then Luna led the mare back to her stall and untacked her, making sure she had enough water and that she had ample bug spray on her, then Luna went into the office and began reading the instruction manual. She couldn't wait to try some of the tecniques on her own! |
