*** Black Rock Eventing Stables***** | (Can you guys please check out my poem in the poem contest? I don't think people are reading it because it's too long, but it's worth the strain. It's about how I miss my dog Lacie because my neighbors made us sell her. It's called I Miss You. It's actually a song but it's a poem on paper.) |

Kaitlyn-*i wake up gemma the next morning* "wanna go get the horses ready" *i get up and get dressed in my breechers and a white shirt, i walk out to the barn and say hi to meg, i hook her in her stall and i brush her till she shines, i then grab her black saddle pad with green lining and lye it on her back, i gently rest her sleek black dressage saddle on her back and hook her girth on, i then get on my helmet and i spray us with bug spray and then put on her matching bug ears as the pad and then her sleek black dressage bridle. I lead meg out and mount up, i start warming her up at the walk* "I will wait for you in the dressage areana Gemma!" |

Well, you have one friend, more if you open up. *I look deep into her eyes, my pale blue ones mirroring her pain* I had to leave Spain several years ago. My sister is still there. *I kick the dirt* My parents died and I've been working on a way to get to the states so I can work up enough money to adopt my sister. So far I have $3,000, that's barely enough the trips to and from Spain for 2. I need a witness from the states and the adoption fees. *I put my head in my hands* I don't even know if she's been adopted. |
ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist | | 2012-10-13 21:48:45 | | | Kaitlyn-"thats really cool lumi, meghan is a mustang,and her sire was silver, you know if it makes you feel any better i can show you the wild mustangs that live around here!ok Gem lets practice" *i walk back into the ring with meg and i pick a nice collected trot, i enter through A and turn meg sideways and we do a halfpass to G, then i turn her straight, feeling the soft,powerful, movements and we go into a smooth canter, i turn her towards H and we do a flying lead change down the long side and turn and gracefully go across the diagnol, at X i slide her back and we do a gentle piaffe all the way to M and then do a transition to a collected trot and down at X i sit back and we do a beautiful levade, then i slightly squeeze her back into canter, we canter down to X and immeditatly do a beautiful square halt, i salut gracefully and then give meg a big pat, "good girl!" *i was so proud cause meg did every move perfectly and gracefully!* "how was that, i made that up myself!" |

You can't have a good flying lead change unless you can do it yourself. *I show her a flawless flying lead change at the trot so it looks like Lady is skipping* It should look like that. *I walk and I start (remember, I'm bareback), I do the same moves as Kaitlyn and Meghan, but at X, I squeeze Lady and she rears, hopping forward to D and then stopping with a Capriole. Lady leaps into the air, front legs curled and hind legs stretched out far behind her, she lands perfectly and I rub her, I look at Kaitlyn and Lumi* How was that? |
