***Joining Up***
Hello and Welcome to Winning Trust Horse Farm for hurt or abused or what people call "Problem Horses" to come and have the mental scars and hurts of the past removed, to help them learn to trust again and to find new owners to love and care for them

Marian: Okay, so these are the horses we have. I'll tell you why we're working with them too.
This one is Arrow. He's the first horse my mom and I helped. It was mostly just on impulse I think. He was head-shy and going to be put down. With our training methods, mostly ones built off of Monty Roberts methods, we were able to fix that. He's up for adoption now again.
Moody is a scared of everything. I have to do T-touch on him and test everything for him first, or he spooks and bucks and runs. He's a permanent resident.
This is King Of Arrogance. We got him yesterday from Curtis Bride, you know, the famous show jumper? I know, I was really excited too! He wont load into trailers. We're working on that.
This is Virtue, another new resident. She's in need of training. Mom said we might be able to keep her. Just for me, you know? It would be great to have my own horse.
Lady Guinevere and Lady Divine. Lady and Diva, actually. Mare and foal. Diva has a strained leg from when she was born and is very weak. She needs medicine often.
Moonshiner, we call him Moon. He bucks, because he knows he can and it will get the rider off. We need to put a dummy on him and let him buck and then he'll realize it wont come off.
Squint is scared stiff of jumps. She's one of Curtis Brides' as well. We're working on it. Mom has an idea, and she said I can help.
And we're about to get another new horse. Duke. He needs to be trained. Mom's on the phone right now, and she NEVER turns a horse down.

Julia: Hello Becky! We are getting Duke, Marian.

Julia: The person Arrow needs to go to is someone who is a strong, experienced rider. A nice one, of course too, but that just doesn't sound like a good situation for Arrow. He is still a bit jumpy at times.

Marian: Okay, so Exercising isn't something that NEEDS to be done, as much as feeding and stuff. and we don't just buzz through training either. We only train one or two horses a day. Training being a short session, of getting the horse to like and know you. Take Moody. I usually will ride him and watch out for scary things and when he sees something that is frightening, I get off and calm him down and then I lead him toward it. Not telling him to come, or even asking him to come, but letting him come as he wants. When he sees it isn't hurting me, he'll know that it wont hurt him. Oh, and by the way, I learned this all from my mom.

(RM: spread the word! ask more people to join!)

Marian: We feed and water first and let them out to pasture. Then we need to take water to pasture E & F.

Marian: we have to mix in Lady's supplement too. *grabs a scoop of it and dumps it in Lady's food. Give Diva a handful of oats too.*
