My name is Nichole but people call me Niki I have long blond hair, I love horses, and I’m from Texas. I just moved and I found out I live near a rescue center for horses.
I went into the rescue barn and I walked up to this lovely black and white mare and noticed she had scars all over her body I went and asked a stable hand what had happened to her and he said "She was abused by her original owner" I walked back to the mare and I saw a sign that says No Name so I decided I will name her. I decided her name will be Freedom. I adopted her and then I tacked her up and took her to the Training arena.
I started working with her and I find out she is an amazing jumper. A girl with a horse walked up to me and said "Hi I’m Kayla" I said "Hi I'm Niki. That horse of yours is beautiful" She said "Thanks" I said "I have to go bye"
I led Freedom into the pasture and took off her halter "Well now to go find a stall for her" I said to myself. I walked around until I found the perfect stall for Freedom I got a special plack with her name on it and put it on the door then I went inside and got everything ready for her.
I walked back into the rescue barn because I forgot to grab Freedoms hoof pick and as I was walking to her old stall I noticed a new horse in the stall next door and she was a beautiful horse and I thought to myself "Freedom would love a friend" so I adopted her then I said " I will call you Hope" then I took Hope to the pasture.
I walked into the pasture with my new horse Hope she looked a little skinny so I thought the grass would be good for her. I took off her lead rope and halter and let her graze with the other horses. I walked back into the boarding barn and got the stall next to Freedom’s ready for my new horse Hope.
I walked into the pasture and found Hope and Freedom and put on their lead ropes and harnesses and took them to the boarding barn. I brought Hope and Freedom to their new home, put them in their stall, and then brushed both of them. Then I said "Both of you will be very happy here"
