You drive up the long beautiful dusty driveway and over the wooden bridge. You see pastures full of different sized horses and ponies, every color you can imagine. On the plaque it says: WELCOME TO THE STABLE

(I only ride in a hackamore and a treeless saddle, pretend I'm bareback :P) *I pat Amber's neck and straight the black clip on reins, I turn to the instructor* I missed the instructions, what are we supposed to be doing? *I know there is no shame in asking and I always ask*	ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist

Lena:*after her Daddy leaves, she clings to Sue instead. She sees the other riders in the ring, bareback.*They're really good. Am I ever gonna be that good? I've been taking lessons for... I forgot how long, but I'm not very good. My instructor says so. He even still has me in the beginners class. Am I gonna be in the beginners class here?*runs out of things to say. *I Gently squeeze Amber and she moves into a walk, its a smooth working walk, I use my body to steer her around the barrels one at a time, keeping her in a steady pace, not using the reins, but my Ice Blue eyes, my shoulders and legs, I weight an imagenary sturrip and she goes around a barrel, then I walk her back and stop her* Good girl Amber. Lena:Okay.*puts the bridle on, and leads her out of the barn. Susan gives her a leg up, and Lena collects the reins, before pointing her toes down, instead of her heels. Susan corrects her on that, and Lena points her toes up. She quickly gets a firm grip with her thighs, and walks Heidi through the barrels, then trots them. She pulls up next to Sue, and asks her:*Did I do alright?	Danielle Rose & Dandy

Lena:*smiles at the praise she rarely gets with her instructor at home. She dismounts, and pulls the reins over Heidi's head.*Your really nice. A lot nicer than my instructor at home. But he does compliment me on my ground training. You know, leading, and handling, stuff like that. He says I'm the best in the school in that area of horse stuff. And the school is huge: Over 300 students in it.*smiles even more, glad to have something to brag about.	Danielle Rose & Dandy

*I bring up my energy and gently squeeze Amber's barrel, she respondes by walking at a brisk pace, we walk to the first barrel, I look at it, press my leg against her barrel on the outside and move my shoulders to it, then I pull the rein ever so slightly in that direction, she walks around it and we walk to the next barrel, I do that same, this time, there is no need for rein, I walk her to the next barrel, this time she doesn't need the shoulders or rein, then we walk to the last, she only needs the eyes to go around the barrel, I walk her back to the group*	ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist

*I gently squeeze Heather's sides, the reins loose between my hands and her mouth, her ears pricked, looking around. I halt her, making her turn an ear back to listen to me.* "Good girl!" *I walk her to the first barrel, going slow and easy, turning to the left around the first one, then right, around the second one, and then the last one, to the left, going all the way around it, we weave back through them heading the other way, at the end one again, we spin all the way around it, this time I let Heather pick up a trot, collecting her as she trots, her neck arched. She weaves through the barrels easily, her tail flowing behind her, her ears pricked. On the way back I let her stride out, it wasn't collected or extended, it was in the middle. One last time we go through the barrels, this time a canter. We come at the first barrel at the right side. Heather's left leg leading her canter. As she turn to the left to get around the first barrel she does a flying lead change, now leading with the right leg, turning right, flying lead change, left leg leading. Spinning around the barrel and then soaring over the ground with her beautiful flowing lead changes between the barrels.*	chelsea2 & Irish
