*** Lord of the Rings ***
a roleplay club Something about the age...elves are immortal, so age 16 is like a toddler in elf age. Their coming of age is 1000, so our age range would probably be from 4000-6000 years. Arwen is 8700. Plus, Frodo has the ring, so unless a ring wraith dropped the ring, we wouldn't have it. | Onaneagle & Sherlock | 2012-11-10 02:05:42 | | Also, Aragorn is 87, and Legolas...well, he's ANCIENT.(That means who knows his age..)((My sister wrote this))
Indilwen: Wait, where are you all going? You're leaving me here to fight off all these? *Gestures to the Orcs* Argh. *Pulls out sword, attacks them and gallops away on Tauradheil* (Horse) | Annaneya & Sequoia | 2012-11-10 20:55:46 | | Ok, Ezi is 4010 | pp2 & Finnigan | 2012-11-10 20:55:46 | | (Naomi is 4015) | ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist | 2012-11-10 23:49:21 | | I,m not even going to try to calculate that. But imortal actualy means that you cant get sick. It has nothing to do with age or growth.(literally) Elrond was 2500 years old because he kept himself from getting killed. And Aragorn is not 87. His shows no sighn of age and I think he's in his thirties. I'm getting all this from my parents, if your wandering. | Dragon Girl & Frodo | 2012-11-10 23:54:31 | | NO. THAT IS NOT TRUE. ELVES MOST DEFINITELY ARE NOT TODDLERS WHEN THEY ARE 13. THE PEOPLE WHO PLAYED THE FELLOWSHIP IN LORD OF THE RINGS ARE YOUNG, LIKE 20-35 YEARS OLD. | pizza freak & Amazing Grace | 2012-11-10 23:54:31 | | (Yeah, I'm 6007, about 20 in human age) | Annaneya & Sequoia | 2012-11-10 23:54:31 | | Remember? I found it in the cave? | pizza freak & Amazing Grace | 2012-11-10 23:54:31 | | (Well, if you read the book, it says that Aragorn is 87, and elves can die of grief and be killed. And in the movie, Awren was 8000 something. And Frodo wouldn't just drop the ring in a cave) | Annaneya & Sequoia | 2012-11-11 00:06:37 | | OK, sister here. The reason they look young is because of the actors. In the Lord of the Rings (book):
Frodo is 50. (It says so).
Elves are immortal. They can die from weariness, grief, or be killed in battle. Their minds mature faster than their bodies, making them seem more ancient than they look.
Of Aragorn: "He was not told about his heritage [to Gondor] until he came of age in 2951" (Wikipedia, Aragorn). He was told of this during the books, if not before.
I'm not trying to be rude, but in Middle Earth things are so much older than they seem. | Annaneya & Sequoia | 2012-11-11 00:14:56 | |
