The girl's cabin at Secret Valley Stables is dark, it's chocolate colored shades drawn tight. It's the first day of early morning work, and the girls are unprepared for what is to come. The sun has yet to make it over the mountains that surround the valley and not a thing stirs. (When you are posting, put your character's name before you post anything so it won't cause any confusion. Here is your chance to introduce your person, go for it and have fun! :) Athena: The alarm clock goes off at it's highest volume, waking me up with a jolt. Wait, I don't have an alarm clock. Amie...She could do anything, anywhere on this camp without anyone knowing. Made sense, seeing as she was the owner, but it was still annoying. Groaning, I push my hair out of my face and slowly haul myself out of bed, smacking my head on the upper bunk. "Ow ow ow." I mutter, ignoring the alarmclock so that it will wake the other girls off. Gemma: *Yawns and looks at Kierra* I knew that was going to happen. *She steps over her and climbs into the shower, her dream still playing in her mind, the roman nosed stallion lept over the car, her father swirving, them crashing into a ditch, her parents crashing into the windsheild, she opened her eyes, she had slid down the wall and was resting on the top, she quickly finished up and blow dryed her hair, she put on some jeans and a teeshirt* Kierra: *I get up and check my nose, just a minor nose bleed, I grab a paper towel and hold it too my nose, I turn around and address everyone* If anyone asks, a bear snuck into our cabin and I attempting to fight it off. Kaili: She groaned and rolled over tossing her pillow over her head. "Can someone turn it off?" Her voice was muffled beneath the pink pillow. She yawned then sighed. Kaili swung her legs over the side of the bed and carried her lazily to the bathroom. "Mornin'." She turned on the sink and splashed water onto her face then brushed her teeth and put her mascara on. Afterwards, she went back over to the bed and grabbed her clothes for the day then headed to go see what Chex was up to. Kaili wrapped her North Face jacket tighter around her torso. She climbed up the fence and sat on the top rail. Her high-pitched whistle rang through out the morning air as the golden stallion picked his bald face up from the lush green beneath him and totted over. The famous stallions' blue and brown eyes searched over her for any signs of a treat. "Oh, I know what you want." She smiled and reached in her pocket to pull out a carrot. Chex whickered and lipped at it eagerly before chewing on the orange root. Kaili jumped off of the railing and ran her fingers through his wavy, long, cream-colored mane. Chex picked his head up and looked at his new owner with his one blue eye. "Wow.. I cant believe your mine." Kaili's arms hugged his neck. She gave him a kiss on the muzzle and laughed as he curled his front lip. "Your so goofy." She climbed back over the fence and walked towards the barn with Chex following her from the other side. Chex snorted when he got to the end of the fence and pawed at the ground. "Sorry you cant come with boy." She stroked his head. "We'll go for a trail ride later. 'Kay?" He lipped at her jacket before turning around and going back to grazing. She continued her way back up to the barn and pushed the large door open to see a bunch of heads poking over their door to see who it was. Kaili frowned not seeing the familiar dished, chestnut head. She walked over to Sunny's stall to see the mare chowing down on her food. "I dont get a hi?", Kaili said as she hung over the door. The small quarab mix mare nuzzled her arm before going back to her food. "Be right back sweet girl." She headed to the tack room to grab the bright purple groom set, the bright purple nylon halter, and the black and purple braided lead rope. She set the grooming set down and unlatched the door before slipping in and tying Sunny up to one of the rails. Kaili left the door open and stepped back out to grab the grooming set. She first started with the curry comb, the hard brush, soft, and finally a rag before moving onto her light colored hooves. 'She will Be loved by Maroon 5' came on Pandora and she started to sing along with it. Kaili looked at her phone and gave Sunny a kiss on her muzzle after taking off her halter and putting up the grooming set. "I'll be back to let you out Sunny. Bye baby girl." Athena: Pulling my hair back in a low ponytail, I brush my teeth, wash my face, apply mascara, and throw on my outfit of tan breeches, old paddock boots, and a gray shirt declaring in bold, yellow letters "WARNING: SHOWJUMPER. MIGHT START JUMPING AT ANY TIME. 200FT CLEARANCE" I vanish out the door, yelling "Last one out has to shut everything off!" Running down the scenic hillside path to the barn, I see that most horses were already turned out. Whistling, I call "Stormo! Ari!" Two heads raise and come cantering lazily up to the fence. Slowing to a walk once I reach the white picket fence, I rub their elegant heads and give Ari a kiss on the nose. Stormo watches us with disdain, being too macho for kissing. "Ya big dork." I tell him affectionately, giving him a pat on the neck before turning away and heading towards the mess hall. The big log cabin had a rec hall beneath it that was made of stone place so it looked natural. Entering, I realized how crowded it was with the weekly campers here. Besides Amie's personal horses and the team's horses, there were a ton of lesson/camp horses of many disciplines, as well as lots of extra space for campers to bring their own horses. But the team's horses were stalled and pastured in a separate area so the kids wouldn't mess with them. Looking around in the loud mass of excited kids (this as the first day for them at a top-notch facility, after all!) I spotted the large table tucked away in a corner that was reserved for the team riders. Making my way over, I see Kaili and assume the other girls are still getting up of visiting their horses. Waving, I sit down next to Kaili. "Hey! Pretty crazy in here today," I tuck a piece of loose hair behind my ear, but the golden tendril just slips back into place, framing my face. "How are Chex and Sunny?" I finally finish, wishing Amie would appear and control the children. | Four Star Dreams & Kipper |
