(My aunt's horse, the one I showed on for the first time ever, had to be recently put down. She got out of the pasture and got hit by a semi :( But hey, we can at least enjoy the memories!) Athena: I had already remounted after putting Stormo in a separate pasture. Pulling Ari up next to the new girl, I squint at her. "Hello...Are you the new member of the team? Amie told me about you, but I didn't expect you to appear so...Suddenly." I glance up at the trailer, one of my gloved hands hovering over the walkie-talkie on my belt. All the team girls had them, but I was required to have it at all times. Quickly studying her, I say again. "You must be...Gemma, right? I'm Athena, Amie's goddaughter. We were just getting ready to go on a trail ride. This is the team," I gesture to the group of girls riding behind me. "I'm sure they will introduce themselves to you on the ride. This is my mare, Ari, and we show jump. The bay gelding is mine, also, Stormo. He's a bit of a, ah, troublemaker. What event do you do?" (I'm just going to assume that, since you pulled up in a trailer, you are new.)	Four Star Dreams & Kipper

Athena: "So... You'll be learning showjumping? I'm sorry, but our program only offers one sport for horse and rider. You can't really do 'Everything' as a legitimate thing. I'm not saying you still can't practice dressage or anything, but you'll have to choose. Who knows, maybe you'll end up wanting to do cross-country!" I smile, clap my hands, and say "Well, we are going to be going, so you can just follow me out and, using leg pressure, have Ari spin on her haunches and trot to the end of the arena. "Well, I don't think anyone else is coming, so, let's head out!" Opening the metal fence, I anchor it to the fence and trot over to the trailhead, nearly hidden in the dense, green canopy. Nearby a river flows, spilling into the lake, and although it isn't visible it can still be heard. Ari's black-tipped ears flick forward as I wave for the others to come join me.
