Athena: "Mia,if you want, you can go on Ari and I'll ride Stormo." I give my dapple gray mare a good pat. "She'll take good care of you." Then, under my breath, I add, "I can't say the same for Stormo." Glaring in his direction, I see he is holding his handsome head up, watching us go, black nostrils flared. During the summer, his coat turned a glossy mahogany bay, with hints of lighter dapples covering his barrel. But, now that he was growing in his winter coat, he was turning to more of a red bay color, the ebony highlights turning to a dull black.
