We get baptized too, but the Confirmation of Faith is pretty much saying 'You are officially an adult in this church' the Baptizing is saying 'You are now washed from sins'	ParelliChick & Lady of the Mist

Yup. That's the point of being dipped in/having water poured on your head. It's washing away the sins. The Confirmation is a. confirming your faith as you can tell by the name and b. introducing you as an adult. That's why there's the HUGE ceremony and you have to wear a dress or suit if your a guy.
