The sun goes down earlier, it comes up late. The snow falls gently until the world is covered with it. Pines start to shoot their smells out strongly. It's Christmas time. The waterfall is where the cats gather for meetings and ceremonies.

Amberheart-Well, I think I should just start at the beginning. I was born Silverspirit, mind, soul, and body. I was a dedicated medicine cat, and. .have you heard all that yet? Anyway, I was betrayed one night by a fellow named Crimsonshade. He didn't like me because I wouldn't kill a StarClan cat in my dreams. He told the Clan leader that he'd seen me with a mate that I really didn't have. I was, well, stripped of my rank, but eventually gained it again when Crimsonshade was found to be lying. When I died, the StarClan cats foretold the future-your incident and Winterstroke and Angelstar and Splashkit and all that-and they needed somebody-namely, ME-to go out and take control of the situation, because I knew how it ended. So I was sent as Amberheart. And Silverspirit-myself, really-would draw me back when my duty was done unless somebody needed or truly wanted me to stay. I was warned that if I stayed, I would have bouts like, like THAT, in the grove earlier. I would recover, but some would be long and painful and others short and peaceful. WHen I thought we were somewhere else earlier, too, that was because, in StarClan, I had lived in a grove like that and I didn't want to go back there. *sighs, feeling defeated* That's pretty much it.
