Description

Welcome to Heart Of Gold Equine rescue or HOG as we like to call it. My name is Lou and I own this place. Here troubled teens team up with troubled horses and form a special bond as they help each other heal. The horses we rescue come from meat trucks, auctions or are just found, abandoned. We take them in and help them recover until we can find them a perfect home, or one of our staff adopts them. All of our staff/volunteers help with the process and when the horses are well enough, even get to train them for riding. I hope you enjoy your time here at Heart Of Gold.

Barns
Barn A: The 12 stall rehab barn
Barn B: The Riders Horse Barn 20 stalls where horses go when they can be ridden
Barn C: The Isolation Barn 2 stalls
Barn D: being by barn A 12 more rehab stalls

Pastures
Pasture A: The Wild horses spend time here it is located in front of the rehab barn on the right hand side of the road. It covers 4 acres. The water is near the gate
Pasture B: The mare and foal pasture on the left hand side of the road across from Pasture A It covers 2 acres. The water is near the gate
Pasture C: The rest of the rehab hangs out here is behind the Rehab Barn It covers 10 acres

Okay, here are the volunteer forms, fill it out and choose a favorite horse. If they can be, you may ride them. I am the owner, so I am in charge of the rescues and the horses. BTW, H.O.G means Heart Of Gold. When you answer "Favorite thing to do" this means at H.O.G. Like going on rescues, treating the horses, riding the recovered horses or cleaning. Please choose one, but know that everyone will be cleaning. I Lou have a rescued horse, Jem, that I adopted. You can adopted a rescued horse, but wait until we have new ones. The younger volunteers might not go on some of the rescues as they are too "Adult" for them. But don't worry, there will be lots.

Rescue horses
Okay I will post some forms. You don't own a horse, but there are rescued horses that you can chose to have a "favorite." I will post the already rescued horses as well. There are five rescued horses that are either ready to be re homed, or are in need of more recovery time.
