Katie: *is in the indoor arena*
"hi Carmen!!! welcome:)"
*I am setting up two cross-rails and a oxer, plus four ground poles in front of the second cross-rail*
"Carmen, you can go ahead and warm-up Sky and then if more people come then we will wait for them and then we will do some jumping:)* | jjpals & Dynamo |

Katie: ok Carmen, go ahead and trot Sky around twice and then trot (posting) over those ground poles and then jump the cross-rail. *I am pointing at a set of four pole and a jump* | jjpals & Dynamo |

Carmen: "Okay! Sounds good." I start to walk Sky around and then softly urge him to trot. | Hunters_Bluff_Farm & Hyacinth |

Paia: *I walk Kona around.* | Chance12345 & Scarlett |

Carmen: I post to Sky's smooth trot and point him to some ground poles. He steps over them neatly and I squeeze him into a slow canter. I point him towards the cross-rail. He gathers himself and I raise into my two-point. As we land on the other side I continue at a slow canter for a couple strides, before slowing him to a trot. | Hunters_Bluff_Farm & Hyacinth |

Katie: good job Carmen!!!
thank you Paia for coming to the lesson and you can do what Carmen just did:) | jjpals & Dynamo |

Carmen: "Thanks." I continue to trot Sky around the arena as Paia takes her turn. | Hunters_Bluff_Farm & Hyacinth |

Paia: *I trot Kona lightly, with beautiful grace and bounce to her step over the poles, then gracefully canter and fly over the cross-rail, then slow her to a trot, and halt behind Carmen. Then I pat her* | Chance12345 & Scarlett |

Carmen: I slow Sky, give Paia a thumbs up and bring Sky up to a slow trot again.
RM: Does Avalon have a plaque, yet, in Klines? I'd like to purchase one but can't find it. | Hunters_Bluff_Farm & Hyacinth |

Katie: good job Paia, but remember that Kona should be trotting over the poles not stepping and when Kona is trotting you need to be posting.
so for posting let your body be throne up with your horses movement:)
and Carmen make sure that you are staying in 2 point position when your horse lands and that way you will keep most of your weight off Sky's center of gravity:) you both did great and now for the test:
*I set up a vertical in-out jump and a brush fence and a widespread oxer*
