Carmen: I squeeze Sky and we trot a lap around the arena before I urge him into a steady canter. We make a slow lap before I let him get back up to a steadier pace. I point him towards the in an out and tick strides off in my head. On one!, I raise into my two point, look ahead, and Sky tucks his legs under him and jumps well. I sit back as he lands but after a stride get right back in the two point as Sky jumps again. We clear the last part and I point him towards the middle of the brush jump. We neatly leap over obstacle and head towards the final oxer. Sky flips his head and snorts at a bug on his neck. I tighten the reins, do a brief half-halt, and lightly press my heels on him. The bug can't hold on any longer to Sky's skin and he whips away into the air. Just in time, Sky gets his focus back. Three, Two, One! I raise into my two point and my gelding tucks his legs neatly underneath him and we have a clean round. I let him canter for a couple strides before gradually letting him trot, then walk. I walk him over to Katie. "Did you see that horsefly? I don't even know how it was quick enough to catch onto him at a canter. I'd say I'm pretty lucky Sky didn't crash or refuse. He doesn't take bugs very well. And would it be okay to talk after the lesson?" | Hunters_Bluff_Farm & Hyacinth |

Katie: yes!! I did see the Horsefly and that was amazing that it could hold on to Sky while he was cantering:) and yes it would great for us to talk after the lesson and you can leave the lesson anytime because it is just a group lesson but after everybody does this round of jumping then it will be over:)
*to Paia* ok Paia you can do your round:)
*to myself* I wonder if Gabby is going to join:)?? | jjpals & Dynamo |

Paia: *I squeeze Foster to a trot. Lightly and gracefully, he trots with a nice pace, collected around the arena, then a transition you can hardly see, and he has a jumpy canter, then flies gracefully, Paia arched over his back, in perfect position, giving him rein, while still keeping contact with his mouth.* | Chance12345 & Scarlett |
