Almost home stables is a competition camp for girls. For 14-18yr olds. You learn how to be a better competitor and get to compete in English and western events. You get to have at least 3 horses. Darby: "I already finished the course so has anyone else not gone yet?"

I have to horses, one is green in dressage and cross country, but we are really good in Stadium jumping (like almost Olympic level) The other could take me to the Olympics now if he needed to. The reason I'm here is for my green horse, and just to keep on competing on the older one to keep him in shape.

Ryan: "ok!" I ask Artemis to canter in a circle twice before taking the course. The first jump goes perfectly.
Artemis: *pulls on the reins trying to go faster*
Ryan: I laugh a little, but the regain my hold on the reins. We take the next fence almost with out issue. on the third fence, my legs slide back a little. ugh! I have such a bad habit of doing that! That's going to kill us in the hunter ring. We take to rest of the course almost perfectly, with, as always, a few rider errors. "Good girl!" I pet Artemis.

Since I do Hunter Jumper I know about the arched back and the leg being forward but my mom prefers I try to have the French Seat which is your back straight and your Shoulder Hip and Heel making a perfect line.
We recently found a hunter jumper trainer who actually knows this and its been peachy ^-^)

Abigail: Good job everyone! Today's lesson was just a test to see your jumping skills. There is a cross country show next month. If you would like to participate in it, please let me or Jessica know by next week. There is an entry fee of 30 dollars. It's not a huge show, just a local show, but it will prepare you for future competitions.
Jessica: Everyone, please bring your horses back to their stalls. Groom them, refill their water and feed, and put their tack away. Then please come to the house. I will have some snacks and drinks for everyone. While we are in the house, you can sign up for the show if you would like to. * I go to the house and pull out the lemonade and iced tea. I grab the cheese and crackers and set it on the table*
Ashley: Sounds great! *I bring Lightning into his stall and put away his tack. I give him fresh water and feed, then I groom him. I go to the house* Hey Jessica! I am going to sign up for the show. *grabs a cracker and some cheese*
Jessica: Great! Please fill out this form. *I hand Ashley a piece of paper and pen out of my desk*
