| What a fabulous idea to have a crafting club! I would love to join if I may. I like to sew. I do mostly garment sewing, but am about to teach Nat2 to sew by making some kitchen towels and dishcloths. Then we will move to doll clothes.
I found both the undeniably glitter blog and the hopeful honey blogs, and am looking forward to checking them out. If anyone is interested in sewing, you might enjoy the all free sewing site. Just run the three words together and put a dot com after them. As always, have your mom check with you the first time. This is a great site that has some nifty free patterns. | The pattern for the dishcloth I am making is super simple!! It is knit diagonally!
Glossary: CO=cast-on sts=stitches sl=slip yo=yarn-over k=knit CO 4 Sts Rows 1-3 K Row 4 k1, k into the front and back of the next 2 sts, k1 Row 5 sl1, k2, yo, k rem sts Rep row 5 until piece is desired width. Sl1,k rem sts You have a triangle and are now turning the corner Row 1: sl1, k1, k2tog, yo, k2 tog, k rem sts Repeat row 1 until 5 sts remain sl1, k1, k2tog, k1 Cast off If you aren't sure what some of those things are, just look them up. | Sugar1Loaf2 & Lightning |
