Yeah, romance gets me, too- I sometimes add romantic stuff to my stories, but I don't like to focus on it. What bothers me is when books are published under fantasy/action genres, and they're actually centered around romance. I like plot oriented stories, and for the entire story to be derailed by a relationship just ruffles my feathers XD
Robin Hood is a great story, I'm hoping to reread it! I have a collection of the original Knights of the Round table stories, and they're lovely. Kind of odd, but beautifully written and fascinating! |

I'm struggling to add romance to my trilogy, but my main character is too much like me and thus extremely unlovable. I like a nice balance of action and romance, heavy on the action, which is why I enjoy The Hunger Games so much, because the author (whose name totally escapes me right now) is so good at making sure she doesn't focus too much on one or the other.
