As Spirit and Lucky gallop together, Spirit has no thought of his herd in the distant hills. They don't seem to mind that he had a human friend. He and Lucky had gone through so much together in the year they'd known each other, he has no thought of EVER leaving her. If his herd moves on, he will stay. He is not leaving his best friend, strange as it might be.
