My Horse
by HopeFaith

My horse and I are too good to be true,
We try to win every race or two.
But when we lose and are at the end,
We just turn around and try again!

DOES NOT CONTAIN PONIES

The Ultimate One
By TheZoeKid

He flows
He burns
He goes high
He goes low.
Low enough to reach your ears
High enough to lift your souls
A song sung by the Ultimate one.
He reaches the lost
He reaches the found
He heals the hurt
He heals the broken
He is a healer, the Ultimate one.
He creates
He saves
He remembers your own name
He loves
He craves
Your life in every way.
So lift your hands oh broken ones
So lift your souls.
To the one who heals, saves, and creates the Ultimate love song for you alone.
He is the Ultimate one.

Title: Wild Forever
By: ilovespirit87
(This story is fiction)

Once, there was a palomino Mustang mare named Esperanza. She was alone in the wild, with no herd. She was about to have a foal. She had no water, she couldn't find any streams or rivers. She worried about her foal, it wasn't healthy inside her belly. She just searched the forests, she looked around the West for someone to help her. She was walking around one day, then she saw a cougar. She stopped, and backed up slowly. She couldn't fight the cougar with her heavy, unhealthy, soon to be born colt. The cougar heard her hoof hit a rock, and the cougar crouched down on the ground, getting ready to attack the poor mare. Suddenly, a black stallion jumped in between the mare and the cougar. He reared and kicked at the cougar. "Stay away from that mare!" The black stallion yelled to the cougar. The cougar eventually gave up, and ran from the fierce stallion. The mares in the unknown horse's herd came running toward the stallion. "Wow! That was amazing Strider!" Said one of the mares. "Strider?" Esperanza asked. "Yup, that's my name." Strider said to Esperanza. "Y-y-you saved my foal!" Esperanza said with joy. "Well, that's what I do for pretty mares like you." Strider said. Esperanza nuzzled Strider. "Thank you so much Strider!" Esperanza cried. "Oh and by the way, my name is Esperanza" "You know, you're allowed to stay with me and my herd." Strider said. "I-I-I am?" Esperanza said nervously but still filled with joy. "Of course you are!" Said Fuego, one of the other mares. "Well, is it ok if my foal stays too?" Asked Esperanza. "I don't see any foals." Said Lily, another mare. "Well, actually, it's in here." *Esperanza looks at her stomach, worrying about her foal.* "Oh, so it's not born yet." Said Lily. "Exactly." Said Esperanza. "Esperanza, you look thirsty." Said Strider. "I'm very thirsty, and my foal isn't very healthy." Said Esperanza. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's get Esperanza's foal healthy again!" Said Fuego. So the herd went to the river and got some water, and went to bed. The next morning, Esperanza suddenly fell. "H-help! My foal is coming!" Strider and Fuego gallop to Esperanza. "Esperanza! You're foal is coming!" Said Fuego. "Ya think?!" Asked Esperanza. Esperanza whinnied in pain.
"Help her Fuego! I don't know how!" Said Strider. "Just relax Esperanza! Breath!" Said Fuego. "Ok o-ok." Said Esperanza calmly.

"It's a colt." Strider whispered. "Nee!" Said the colt. "I think he's trying to say something." Said Fuego. "A-a-are y-you m-m-my m-m-m........." Asked the colt. "Yes, I'm your mother." Said Esperanza. *Esperanza gets up and nuzzles The colt.* "I'll name him...........Spirit." Said Esperanza. The dun colt was finally born, and he grew to a couple months old after a while. He was curious and playful. Spirit was 3 months old when a cougar came again, looking for food. Spirit was playing with his older sister, Blue. "Ahhh, a yummy snack." Said the cougar. "Try to get me!" Spirit yelled to Blue. "Oh, I'll get you, I won't even need to try!" Said Blue. Blue heard a cougar and ran towards Esperanza, but Spirit was still playing. "Mom! I heard a cougar!" Yelled Blue. "Strider, go check if there's a cougar." Said Esperanza. "Ok." Said Strider. So Strider checked for a cougar. "Spirit, go see your mother." Strider commanded. "Why?"'Spirit asked. "Because I said so.'" Said Strider. "Im staying here and playing." Said Spirit. "No you're not!" Strider yelled. "Ugh! Why is your name Strider? It should be Stricter!" Said Spirit. "Do you think a mare would name her foal Stricter?" Strider asked. "No." Said Spirit. "Now go see her mom, NOW!" Strider commanded. "Ugh!" Spirit yelled. "Spirit! Why would you talk to your dad like that!?" Esperanza asked. "He's just, boring!" Said Spirit. "He's doing a cougar check!" Esperanza yelled. "Oh!" Said Spirit. "You're grounded Spirit!" Said Esperanza. "What?! No more playing with Blue and Raven?!" "Not until tomorrow!" Esperanza said.
So the next day came, and Spirit, Raven, and Blue played together. "Come on kids! We're going to the waterfall!" Said Esperanza. "Yay!" The foals shouted. So the herd went to the waterfall. "Ok herd, we're here!" Strider yelled. All the horses drank water out of the waterfall, and the young foals fed from their mothers. Spirit was trying to drink the water, but he fell into the water towards another waterfall! "Help!" Spirit cried. Strider jumped into the water to save him. "Spirit!" Esperanza yelled. "Stay there Esperanza! I'll get him!" Strider yelled. Strider got to Spirit and put Spirit on his back, and tried swimming to shore, but the water was pushing them directly towards the waterfall. "Ok Spirit, when I say 3, you jump on to the shore with your mother!" Strider yelled. "But what about you dad?" Spirit asked. "I'll be fine Spirit! 1, 2, 3! Strider yelled. Spirit jumped on to shore with his mother, but Strider fell down the waterfall. "No! Dad! I didn't even get to say sorry for calling him boring!" Spirit yelled. Spirit ran back home with tears falling from his eyes. Esperanza went down the path to the bottom of the waterfall and checked if Strider was ok. "Strider!? S-strider!? Are you alive!?" Esperanza asked with tears falling from her eyes. "Esperanza!" Strider yelled. "Strider!" Esperanza yelled. "It's a miracle!" So the herd went back to look for Spirit. They got home, and Spirit was in between some rocks, crying. "Well well well, look who we have here." The cougar said in an evil voice. "W-what do you want?" Spirit asked in a frightened voice. "Well, I just came here to tell you that I was down by the waterfall, and I found your father." Said the cougar. "W-was he alive?!" Spirit asked. "Oh, no! I just ate him," The cougar said. "You, you ate my father!?" Spirit shouted. "Yes, he was very delicious, and now it's time to eat you!" Said the cougar. "Don't listen to him Spirit! Strider shouted. "Dad!" Spirit shouted with joy. The cougar turned around and looked at Strider. "I thought you were dead!" The cougar shouted. "Nope! I'm here to save my son!" Strider shouted. As Strider and the cougar fought, Spirit had a plan. He escaped the rocks and went and got a net. He carried the nets back to the rocks. "Take this cougar!" Shouted Spirit. He jumped down from the rocks and dropped the nets on the cougar. "Good work Spirit!" Said Strider. "Thanks dad!" Said Spirit. All these adventures that the wild horses went on prove that they are truly wild. The cougar never bothered them again and they lived happily ever after. THE END

Wild Horses
By pp2

Running wild and free
They take my breath away
Manes flying back in the wind
Never to be tamed
Yet we catch them
And put the cold bit
In their tender mouths
Why do we do this
To ones so pure
So untouched
So free
Why do we keep them
In small, round pens
To be picked out by humans
Who truly have no right to them
They who have been
Beautiful and wild and free
For centuries
The wild ones
The horses
