Grace and Judge
By bishopshallstables

One morning I woke up from having only about an hour of sleep thinking about tomorrow when I would finally get to ride Judge again. It has been 6 whole months since the last time I rode him because Judge had been lame with a serious leg injury. I was so excited that I started getting my gear ready in the morning even though I would usually get it ready in the evening. All I talked about was Judge. He was my favourite pony. I have known Judge for 7 years. When my mam told me to get dressed I didn't even hear her I was just sitting on my bed once again in horse land ( as my mom would usually say ) so in the end my mom just started shouting at me. She also reminded me I had to go to school today when I had already changed into my ordinary clothes.
I had a hard day of school today as I thought of all the work and the essay we did today. Then at the end of the day all I now thought about was the day was just over and I would ride Judge again tomorrow.
The next day I sprung out of bed onto my feet and before I raced to go get dressed I saw my Judge cuddly toy on my bed. I hugged him then raced to grab my jodhpurs, jumper, t-shirt, socks and of course my riding boots. I got dressed way faster than I ever did and grabbed my bag and raced out to the car.
When we arrived at the stables and I ran over to my instructor and asked if I could ride Judge and to my relief she said yes I was so happy because for a second I thought she was going to say no.
In my lesson we practised showjumping and control. It was so fun. Judge raced around the jumping course but my instructor didn't mind because Judge was that kind of pony and he is hard to control and she didn't mind because he had not been ridden in a long time. When we dismounted I walked Judge into the stables and took off his tack. I also put on his rug and brought him out to the carrots ( well to be honest he kind of brought me out to the carrots ). After he ate the carrots I brought him out to the field and I needed alot of help to bring him out because he never listens and I also needed someone to open and close the gate so no other ponies got out. I had a really fun day with Judge.

my favourite horse in real life is called Judge and he inspired me to write this story.

Felicity
by Blissful_Writer (aka Bliss)

You know the feeling you get when you are so excited that you don't care about anything else and butterflies are in your stomach?
Yeah, that's how I'm feeling right now.
Joyful.
Blissful.
Happy.
Excited.
Whatever word like those you can think of.
And the reason for this? I'm getting a horse. Right. Now.
"C'mon Maya! We're gonna be late!" My little sister tugged at my shirt.
"There's nothing to be late to, Maria!" I laugh and pick her up. She squeals with delight and we go over to the truck. With the horse trailer attached!
"So are you ready to choose a horse, Maya?" My dad asks once I have gotten into the truck.
"Yup! Ready as I'll ever be!" I smile as wide as possible and jump in my seat. You don't know how long I've been waiting for this. I had been thinking of names for a while now, and I think I have one. Felicity. The definition of 'felicity' is: the state of being happy, especially in a high degree; bliss.
So it seems like the PERFECT name! It totally describes my feelings right now. I'm naming her Felicity.

"Maya, Maya! We're here!" Maria says jumping up and down. I'm gonna go meet Felicity!
"Okay, I'm coming!" I chuckle and get out to hold Maria's hand.
"Well, let's go take a look!" I hear dad's voice as he comes around the truck towards us. I nod and follow him into the barn. My plan was that whichever horse nickered to me was the one. Okay, so maybe a little something else too, but that was the base of my plan.
"Maya look at all the horsies!" Maria exclaims. I smile down at her and nod.
"Maya, look at this beauty." I turn around and see dad stroking a chestnut horse. I walk up to the 'beauty' and put my hand out. It snorts and turns it's head.
"So much for being polite." I mutter and go to the next stall...and the next stall..and the next stall...until I hear a friendly nicker to my left. A horse stands there with its head peeking out of the stall and looking at my Don't forget that this beautiful horse nickered.
"Dad! I..I want this one." I tell my father. He looks over the dark bay horse.
"Looks healthy. I'll go to the owner and see how much he'll charge." I nod as dad walks off.
I stroke this beautiful horse's face and look into her deep brown eyes. She looked loving, beautiful, with a bit of attitude of course - what horse could go without?
I hear footsteps and see dad.
"We got her!" He says and smiles.
"We...we own Felicity!" I grin and pet the horse some more.
"Felicity?" Dad asks.
"Yes, I named her Felicity. I think she likes the name too."
We then loaded her into the trailer to take her to her new home. My home. Our home.
And that is the story of my my joyful spirit all because of Felicity.

The End

So, this would be my second piece of work, I hope that's okay.:

War
By Hunter321

Above my head the bullets flew.
Not a clue I have on why I'm here,
in this barren wasteland they call war.

In the shadows my master lies,
forever trapped in a blissful sleep.
I shall stay with him,
lost deep in thought of home.

Oh home, how I miss it.
The leaves on the trees,
dancing in the sunlight.
The laughter of children
as they play in the cheek.
The soft grass under my body
as I lie in the shade of the big Oak tree.

Sadly, it can no longer be...

I came back to this place,
knee deep in mud where grass should be.
My master, my friend, still lifeless and cold.
His face in the burned grasses,
finally able to be at peace.

I am still here by his side,
remembering all the charges we had done.
All the praises he gave,
when I helped haul the cannons.
The time we spent in the small village,
the only spot left with grass and trees.

Most of all, however;
I remember him as the only friend I had here,
in this barren wasteland they call war.

My Love For Holly,

When the day comes i go to the stables. This is no ordinary day! I get to see Holly. My dream Horse. Every day is a GREAT day when I see her. When I ride I feel like we where meant for each other.....Then I think about my love for Holly. When I go out to catch her she follows me and I talk to her. She is my best friend for life.....then I think about my love for Holly. She is always there when I need her. And she is always there for me. She is my true love :)

The true Horse who inspired this:
Her name is Holly (of course) If you go to my page you will see how much I love her! She is not my horse, sadly but I take lessons. I hope you enjoyed this little scene from my heart:)

NOTE: The person Who wanted to make me right this about MY favorite horse, was Bishopshallstables.
Thanks Bishopshallstables!

February

By: hosessaddles

February is a time of love,
joy,
and happiness.
But sometimes we forget that.

For horse people, February is a time of
hard work,
cleaning the barn,
and taking care of your horse.

Sometimes, though,
we horse people forget about what it's really about.
We think hard work,
most people think love.

So before next year,
next February,
try to keep in mind to give your horse some extra treats,
some extra pats,
and try to remember to think a little more about your horse.
After all, your horse does a lot for you.

hi, does any one know how to take a photo of the trapper? Please W-Mail me a reply!

**** ADMIN WRITES

In the future please ask questions in our Pony Pal Pundit forum, as this is for story and poem entries.

Here is the link to the Pony Pal Pundit forum:

To take a picture of the trappers, you must first buy a camera from Klines catalog under "other". Then ride out to the forest adventure trail. If you want to ride to the Wiggins Mansion or anywhere on the site you need to pay board. To do that you need to buy a pony at Olsons and agree to pay board. Once you have done that, ride down Pony Pal trail to the three birches clearing. There is a gate there, click on it and you will be in the Wiggins Estate. At the end of that trail is the Wiggins Mansion.

Here's how you get a board bill and a cabin. The steps are
1. Take the bus to Olsons
2. Select the pony you want to buy, a bay chestnut or white pony will be free if you trade in your existing pony
3. Click on buy pony (green box)
4. There will be buttons, one says none the other has your pony's name. If you want to trade your pony in for a new pony, make the dot in front of your pony's name have a spot in it.
5 .Enter the new pony's name and choose whether you want a mare or gelding, then click the green next box.
6. Then you get a box that asks if you agree to pay board for your pony.
7. Click on I agree in the green box
Then you will have a new pony and your current pony will be back at Olsons for another member to adopt. Your My Page will then have a cabin, and you can ride to the Wiggins Estate!

Now that you are able to ride on Wiggins Estate, click on the gate at the Estate. It will give you two options, to go to the Mansion or right through the Adventure Trail (both will lead to the Mansion. The Adventure trail is longer and is the trail with the trappers. ) Click on the Adventure Trail.

Before you start your ride, go into your inventory and click on the camera. Click "Equip" and begin your ride through the trail. It's best to ride at a trot so you can be able to click on the trapper when you see them quicker to take a picture before they disappear.

Wild Horse
by Bugsie2016
I sat by the creek of a sunny day in the middle of april. The sun streaming down on my face obscuring my vision.I lay down on the grass looking up at the clouds ans watching as they transform between different shapes and become new things over time.I lay there for a while and just stare at the clouds and before i realise it's getting late.I stand up and walk the 30 min journey home.
The next day I head back to the creek along with some sandwiches and juice.I lay in my favourite spot and look up at the sky and wonder what it would look like at night. All of a sudden I hear a clip clop of hooves as a small fawn foal canters towards the water out of the forest.I look around searching the area for signs of a mare or stallion. However the immediate area is free from any other horses.I watch as the foal canters I and out of the water and playing in the mud.I watch for about an hour before slowl and quietly searching for the foal's parent.
The search goes on and i get deeper into the forest in search of any signs of a horse. After i while I worry that the foal may be abandoned and i head back to the creek. However when i get back the foal has disappeared.I decide that it is too dark to search now and that i would have to wait until tomorrow.I walk back home again.
When I get back home i ask my parents if there are any wild horses in the forest near the creek. The reply that they don't think there are and that the foal must just be lost away from a farm. The it comes to me that the horse could be John the farmers whos Mare just had a Foal that looks quiet similar to that of the other foal.I ring his phone and he picks up straight away.I ask if he lost his foal.He replies that he had and had found it by the creek. So the foal hadn't been wild after all....
