| I'm not too sure what the poem's about. I sort of made it open-ended so you could draw your own conclusion--what we artists and writers do when we either have no ideas or are too lazy to put them on paper. The basic idea I suppose is that this person is going through the dark woods to this clearing to see some sunlight, as in sunlight from the actual sun. But the sun never comes out. After a while this person notices there's a horse in the trees too, waiting. They both stay, hoping for the sun to come out, but it doesn't, and they both leave when night comes and the moon rises. So it could go either way--she's sad because she didn't see the horse, or the actual sunlight. I dunno. I'm not exactly sure what the point of it is. It's one of those touchy-feely weird poems. I'm good at those. |
