As Time Goes By
Back when there were no roads horses ran free and wild. At that same time period there was a mare and her name was Athena, and she was a strong leader. Then one cold night Athena had a colt and his name was Zephyrus. When Zephyrus was 2 days old his mother Athena grew restless, but all the other horses did not know why.Then the horses realized she was not restless, she was sad. The other horses did not know why, but Zephyrus did. She was sad because she felt like she was a bad leader. One day Zephyrus came to her and said that she was not a bad leader,she was a great leader. Athena taught him over the years how to be a great leader. As time passed by Athena grew to be 15 years old, but that did not stop her from being a great leader. One day she began to realize that the world had changed from there being no roads to there being roads. When Zephyrus was 10 years old he became the leader. He would always remember his mother’s words, and he too would pass down his leadership to a foal just like his mother did to him. And the roads would grow old just like he did.
