I love ND! although mostly the older ones, and they could sometimes be misleading and hard to understand. My favourite is the Secret of Shadow Ranch, because of all the horses. My Grandma likes the old ones, but she says she cant stand the new ones. For some reason, this doesn't stop her from reading them. What character was almost named Stella Strong, Hellen Hale, Diana Dare or Nan Nellson? Nancy, I think. If so, I am very glad. I wouldn't pick up a book with any of the above titles. Who is Bess's boy friend in the books? Dave Who "wrote" the N.D. books? Carolyn Keene, though it is a psudonym, like Franklin W Dixon.
