Skill: Roping, jumping low logs and going through streams and opening gates. Basically a trail person, though Trails in the open are best because that means... GALLOP!!!!

Habbits: Loves to race- If a horse runs, there's no stopping him.
Problems: He doesn't skid stop, the way a good Western Pony should, and he bucks at times, He's slightly afraid of a swinging rope- maybe mistreated at a time? I need to find out about that.
Other: A good endurance horse, likes chocolate, neck reigns, runs fast and is easily maneuverable. |

ponylover1709 & Oreo | | 2012-05-23 01:24:44 | | Anyone who got my special W-mail is going to be happy with the following post. I know you may be sad to hear this, but the club is new, and we REALY need to get this thing real. Non of you are posting. That was my fault. I need to tell you more.
STABLE LOOKS: (This is going to be an issue if not addressed, so please read.)
We have a beautiful stables with a tackroom, a hayloft, and the main stalls. Then, a little farther off, we have the suplies. (A wheelbarrow, a bucket for water, feed, ect.) Next to that building is a hose and some soap, along with sweat brushes. A halter is not provided. A dirt trail goes into a large forests with signs. (To be a trail rider in the club, you MUST get a w-mailed license from me. I write down who I give the license to, so, careful!)
RIDING ARENA: (This is a huge reason why leasons fall apart.)
It's a nice long, somewhat fat, arena. IT IS FOR PRACICE. Rare times I will do a show, but not normaly. It has stands for jumps. For a leason, please w-mail me what time zone and what time. (I'm Eastern) Remember: Judging in shows are based on leasons attended, so you REALY have to attend at least one. The show arena for jumping is big, and has some bleachers.
WESTERN: (you guys who ride english may run and hide under the bed. I NEVER have read about Western, I saw a movie called Flicka, that had some western, and you do NOT have to attend western. You need a special OKAY from me, and I will have a trailer take you to a barrel racing center or something.) I'll read up on Western. I know a lot about Jumping.
Horse SHOWS: (This is not your average jumping. It is judged on a horses' coat, habits, and decoration. That's right: I judge their looks! Western, English, some unknown skill, can do it.

I mount up rusty, His gleaming, coat is trickling down with the soft, sticky sweat going down is coat. I hold the reins tightly and urge him to trot. Rusty trots smoothly his gait calm and controllable. I squeeze my heels and he urges into a canter. We canter around the ring passing the line of bleachers around the ring. I face a small Chase-me-charlie I focus on the neatly places obstacle. I grip tighter on the reins feeling Rusty's body movement. I lean forward, While Rusty becomes airborne his sturdy legs soar over the jump, and lands gracefully over the jump. We land, and continue around the ring. Slowly trotting to the gate. I dismount and lead Rusty with my reins over to ponylover. |
