Hi!Can I join?
I know a bit about clicker training and a would like to help you with "fetch".I'm still working on it my self and having good progess.I am going to try and explain it simply.
Put your dog on a leash and throw the ball or toy.
Once the dog has the item pull on the leash so he will come back.Once he is back take the ball out of his mouth and click the clicker then reward him with a treat.Keep doing the same thing and once he gets the point try itwithout the leash.

1. If the dog does'nt go after the toy buy a hollow rubber toy and put peanut butter in it(ask your vet first) dogs love it!
2. If the dog would let go of the ball hold it in his mouth with a stong hand once he opens his jaw a bit pullit out. If it does'nt work well I can't help(sorry)

| Hi Jane, It has been a while since I have been on. I am feeling a little better, so I am catching up on my clubs and w-mail. So, please tell us about ground driving. Are you starting from scratch with your pony? How are you going about it? I'd love to teach Little Man to ground drive. Rosie knows how, but I have never done it. She would have to teach me. LOL |
