Not really, I heard it was going to 'Americanised' alot from most movie raters. No offence to people who are American, its like the Twilight series which was totally ruined by the movies becuase they missed out about 20 chapters from the book. They don't have the Mayor's daughter in this, the small things hit hardest. The reason they couldn't do the second Percy Jackson was becuase Celest was a very main part of it and also that it was a total flop from the books.

| For instance the Darren Shan Books are Amazing!!!Their called The Vampire's Asistant the books are so good:) Their are my second fave sreies after HG!!!But the movie was a TOTAL flop:P The movie was horrid,and that saying a lot because my favorite actor(Josh Hutcherson aka Peeta) is in it.So I pray tHG doesn't follow that path.Books=Amazing and the Movie=Horrid...PLease don't let that happen... |

Safe & Sound is fantastic. I bought it as soon as it became available in New Zealand :)
I can't wait for the movie either! I'm pretty pleased about the release date, too - last time I checked, it was coming out in NZ a day before the USA, so over 24 hours earlier! I really do hope they do a good job with the movie - I've experienced a few book to film and TV to film disappointments myself, and don't want that to happen here.
If they have a midnight release here, I'd really love to get tickets for it. A few friends and I would probably have quite a bit of fun with it - the idea of going in costume (reaping dresses!) has been mentioned a couple of times ;)
