| This week y'all had better break out your kilts and bagpipes, because our breed is the Highland Pony. They come from Scotland, unsurprisingly, and their bloodlines are an interesting mix of French, Arabian, and Spanish, including the occasional British breed. These ponies were popular in Scotland's mountainous areas (of which there are a lot) because of their sure-footedness. And if that's not a word I just made it one. They're reliable, steady, and strong, measuring up as more of a horse with short legs rather than a pony. They come in all variety of colors, but white markings are uncommon. Dun coloring often brings with it zebra stripes on the legs and a dorsal back stripe. They're very agreeable (the ponies, not the dorsal stripes), and are good for everything from riding to packing. |

Maybe. Someone else would have to do that, though. I've only got my book of horse breeds, and after that I'm doomed.
