Almost home stables is a competition camp for girls. For 14-18yr olds. You learn how to be a better competitor and get to compete in English and western events. You get to have at least 3 horses. | Kayla : *Finishes off Minty's Bath and cools her out* Anyone want to go for a trail? I need a partner |

Ashley: Jessica, could I take Gracie on a trail ride with Kayla?
Jessica: Sure Ashley!
Ashley: Thanks! * I tack up Gracie* Kayla, Jessica let me take her horse for a trail ride.
Jessica: Ashley, Kayla, can you be back in 1 hour?
Ashley: Yeah! *I mount Gracie*
Jessica: Abigail, Bryan, you are in charge out here while I make dinner.
Abigail: Ok!
Bryan: OK!
Jessica: *I go in the house and wash up. I start making the spaghetti and garlic bread* |

I check my watch, realizing that a lot of time has passed* Kayla, I know it seems like we just got started, but we should head back so we have time to groom, un-tack, and wash up before dinner. *I turn Gracie around*
Jessica: *Dinner is almost ready, so I start putting things out on the table*
Abigail: Hi Katie, I noticed that you are just hanging around here. Dinner should be ready soon, you can go inside if you would like.
Ashley: * I bring Gracie in the barn, un-tack her, then groom her quickly*
Jessica: *Dinner is done. I go outside to the porch, and ring the dinner bell* Dinner's ready! Y'all come inside! * I walk back inside and get the forks out, then sit down*
Ashley: *I go inside the house and sit down*
Abigail: *I go inside and sit down*
Bryan: * I go inside and sit down*

Jessica: Let's eat! I hope you guys like spaghetti! *I dish up, then pass around the spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread*
Ashley: *I dish myself up and pass it around*
Abigail: *I serve myself and pass food around the table*
Bryan: *I also serve myself and pass food around the table*
Jessica: Everyone is here, so I will tell you your chores for tonight, and the schedule for tomorrow.
Tonight you have to:
Let them in the paddock for 20 minutes
Groom your horse
Fill their feed and water
Ashley, you will have to change Lightning's bandage
Ashley: Ok.
Tomorrow we will:
Eat breakfast
Do chores
Go to the outdoor riding ring and do a couple exercises
Hang out
Lunch
Paddock
Trail riding
Hang out
Dinner
Chores
Ashley: What will I do with Lightning when you do the riding?
Bryan: I will stay with you at the barn and we can do some exercises of our own.
Ashley: Ok. * I continue eating

Ashley: Should I start chores?
Abigail: Yes. If you have questions, stay here and ask Jessica, if you don't, then go outside and do chores! *I get up and go outside*
Ashley: *I get up and go outside. I bring Lightning in the paddock for 20 minutes then I bring him in his stall and groom him. Then, I refill his feed and water. I grab Lightning's bandage then take his old one off, rinse it with water, then dry it off. I put the new bandage on* |

Abigail: Once you are finished with your horses, please go to your dorm and go to bed. Dinner and chores went a little later then we thought. Sleep well! * I let Jessica know I am going back to my house and will be here in the morning*
Bryan: *I go to my house*
Ashley: *I go to my dorm room that I share with Katie and Lizzie. I get changed and wait for Lizzie and Katie to come before I go to sleep* |
