Patchwork's day out on the trails
by Flame2010
my owner Flame2010 is the best today we started each day with a groom for me that is when she was grooming me she told me what we were going to do "first we are going downtown and mailing Mrs crandal's letter, then when we have finished i'll collect apples to sell and some for you Patch. After a go in the crandal's cross country we will go and visit Ms Wiggins and bring her a photo of the trapper"
my owner was talking to me and petted me softly i wickerd wait i mean nickerd okay to her she understood me and began to put my saddle cloth it was pink i love pink as much as my owner did. She gently put my saddle and bridle i brought my head down to help her in return she gave me a bright juicy red apple and i munched tasting the sweet fruit she then gently mounted me and opened the gate that lead to the course of cross country jumps i enjoyed jumping as much a my owner we started slowly then progressed into a smooth canter as we flew over the jumps i felt like a pegasus soaring over the obstacles and finish the course my owner went into town on the way we saw a bird lying on the forest ground she asked me to stop and returned the bird to its nest in the tree as she mailed the letter i was resting the summer sun warm on my back and a gentle breeze in my face i was content soon we arrived at ms wiggins and dropped of the photo soon i was inside my stall with a bucket of hay mmm so yummy.
the end

Title: The Magic Bond Chapter 2
By: ameliabrenes5 (hope you like it:))

Chapter Two

A week had passed since Katy had moved in. Katy was getting her riding techniques back. Everyday, at 10:00, Cindy and Katy would meet for a ride. Cindy would ride Lily, and Katy would ride Jasmine. But today was different. Cindy couldn't come for a ride today, she had to visit her grandma for the day. Katy had tacked up Jasmine, and was mounting her. She led Jasmine towards the trail that they usually took and walked. After about ten minutes, they trotted, then cantered, and slowed back down to a trot. Then, Jasmine stopped. She was very still. Katy had enough experience with horses to know that something was about to happen. She shortened the reins and waited for something to happen. Then, out of nowhere, a beautiful handsome buckskin stallion came and halted in front of them. He had leaves, twigs, and burrows in his mane and tail. His coat had dust, and dried mud on it. Was he wild? No. He had a rope halter on. No wild horse would have a halter. Then, Katy realized something. She was looking right at her dream horse. Ever since she was a little girl, she had always dreamed of having a buckskin stallion called Wonder. No. She couldn't keep him, not after what had happened to Sandy because of her. But she could bring him to her house and make flyers saying that she found a lost horse. Yes, she would do just that. She dismounted Jasmine, then grabbed the buckskins halter, and led both horses to her house. When they got to the house, Katy tied Jasmine up, then put the buckskin into the pasture and bolted the gate behind him. Then she untied and mounted Jasmine. She was going to go return her. Then, she would make flyers for the buckskin.

When she got back, she found her parents at the door, arms folded. 'Uh oh.' Katy thought as she approached them. "Can you please explain why there is a horse in the pasture?" Her father asked. "Well, I was riding Jasmine when this horse came out of nowhere. I knew he wasn't wild, so I took him here. I returned Jasmine and was going to make flyers for a found horse when I got back." Katy told them. 'At least it was the truth.' Katy thought as she waited for her parents reaction. Gradually, they relaxed. "Ok, we believe you. Now, go ahead and make those flyers." Katy's mom said. Then, her parents returned to what ever they were doing before. 'Ok. I'll go get the camera, and take a picture of the buckskin.' Katy thought as she went upstairs to retrieve the camera.

"Perfect!" Katy exclaimed as she looked at one of the flyers the printer had printed. In black writing at the top of the page it said 'Found Horse.' Below it, it had a picture of the horse grazing. Then, under that it had information about the horse. Where it was found, the gender, the guessing of the age, which was five, the height, the color, and a number that the owner could call to talk with Katy or her parents. Katy looked outside, towards the pasture. The horse was grazing peacefully. An apple tree stood near him, shading him from the hot weather. Then Katy realized, she was falling in love with the horse. 'Snap out of it.' Katy ordered herself. 'Remember what happened to Sandy?' Katy tried to focus on something else. But it was too late, she had fallen in love with the horse.

Wind Of Heaven
By hosessaddles

Going through the woods all alone,
You and your horse, that's it
You hear the nicker of your horse, it's grown
Longer and louder
You feel a burst of wind,
Don't know where it came from
But then you know,
Your horse,
and you,
you both know,
that warm blast of air,
It came from the heavens.

That's all I have for today! Could this be reviewed by the pony pals magazine for the poem contest? I hope to know soon! Thanks!

That One Fence
By xKaylenex

I look up to see the yellow and blue
I know I'm scared I felt it true

I shivered and glanced at the scary thing
All I could hear was birds that could sing

My mount started walking away from the fright
To the barn and away from the light

I shortened my reins and shoved down my heels
I knew it was time for it, for real

The wind flew past like the speed of light
Suddenly on the other side with no more fright

The pounding of hooves
The crunching of apples

The summer breeze
combing their manes'

A smile or two
I'll give one to you

This feeling man
It is so unforgettable

My heartbeat?
it matches hoof beats

A nice warm breath
upon my hand

The smell of hay
It makes you want to stay

Flying over a fence
Taking a leap of faith

Sweeping down the aisle
A barn day is always worthwhile

Saddle up for a ride
Stick your foot in the stirrup

Mount on Up
Dodging that nosy little pup

Go home and rest
for another day's fun

That is, yet to come.
