Heather:*wakes up one the morning after her father had sold Chocolate*Another beautiful day!*quickly gets dressed and skips down to the kitchen*Good morning Mama*runs outside and picks an apple from the tree*This is the biggest, juiciest apple on the tree. Chocolate will love it*runs into the barn to her pony's stall, then stops short at the empty stall*How could I have forgotten this!*throws the apple on the stall floor, and sits down in the still fresh straw*I'm the one who tied her to the back of the wagon. I'm the one who watched her looking back at me, neighing as she trotted away*sees a brush in the straw, and picks it up, pulling pieces of straw out. Then she gets an idea. Wiping away her tears, the runs quickly to the comb she used to brush out Chocolate's mane and tail. Sure enough, there is still a lot of hair in it. Heather pulls it out and takes a small leather string from her pocket. She straitens the hairs, then ties the string around it*There, now I still have her with me.
