Always be descriptive in your writing. Just saying "I tell my horse to jump and she does" Is not descriptive do something more like "I squeeze my horse with my legs to help support her and signal her to jump. Keeping my heels down, my head up and keeping good posture, we sail beautifully over the jump Lady's mane and tail streaming out gloriously behind her. We land gently on the other side and gallop on toward the next jump."
Although Otaku_Lady is right. Try to get a personality for your horse. But if the personalty makes the horse difficult, see that it does not botch every jump and throw you off at every chance. Describe how you communicate with the horse and keep it under control. Those are some tips, which are the reasons for my numerous 2nd places and a few 1sts. If you follow these tips, you will soar over the rest of them, your horse daintily tucking his legs in beautiful formation, you sitting erect and prosperous. |
