***THE HORSE SHELTER*** This is a role-play shelter and we are always looking for more volunteer help.

Sorry about this double post:

Me: Oh my gosh! I need to talk to the owners! I found this horse lying down with some scars about a block away. What do we do?

(I am adopting her, but can't I play with her in this club?)

Parelli, no. This club, finds or rescues horses, heals them and then moves them on to a new home. You could take her to Wild Rose Competition club.

ponylover what is your club fake name?

March: *Drives her pickup and trailer to ponylover* Hop in! *drives to the place* Ponylover, this horse is abandoned. You can tell, because it has no food or water and people have not lived at this house for a month. Come on help me load this horse. *Walks to the horse and reaches for the halter. The horse screams and jumps away, galloping around the paddock limping and tripping the whole way.* Um, not a good thing. Any ideas? That horse could kill itself if it runs anymore. I most certainly can't lead the horse in and join up is out of the question in its condition. But there's metal shards and stuff in this pasture. We can't leave it here. We need to think quickly PonyLover1709. This horse is going to die otherwise.

*Gemma hops into the truck with a vet bag, then she hops out* Let me try. I have a gift with horses. *Pulls out a bag of carrots* And carrots. *Smiles and walks into the pasture, approching the horse like another horse, eyes to the ground and in a large circle, then she gives it a carrot, then walks back to the vets bag, puts on the halter, and giving it another carrot. Then she leads the tripping horse to the vet bag* March? Can you hold this one?

(I think its Lilly)

Me: Takes carrot, puts hand out, sees pony come walking toawrd me* I think the only way to get him in is if he doesn't know what he's doing. "Slips rope around neck. He grabs carrot, feels rope and begins to go back. Takes apple and leads him into trailer, where he lies down, looks at me with scared eyes.*

Name: Beauty
Breed: Shetland pony
Male/Female: Male
Color: Bay
Markings: White socks
Problems: Scared of humans
Likes: Carrots, apples
Dislikes: Ropes and halters
Life: Once a amazing show horse, he was then abandoned.
Age: Six

(Can I take care of him until we find him a new home?)

Me: *Drives home, horse whinning in pain the whole way. The horse still in trailer, I take some bandages and wrap his legs that have cuts. Takes wet towl and tries to clean him.* What do we do?

Lilly, Anna has no horse to care for, so I'll let her care for this one but you can help her when she wants.

Parelli, I know your into what your name suggests, and I looked into it, and it looks great! When they were saying how to get your horse to trust you though which is one of the most important thing, they said to learn the horse's language, which Join Up helps with. You should look into Join Up too, especially if you ride, because if you Join Up with your horse it will develop such an understanding!

(I'm sorry, but I read that I got Faithful and Anna got Lady, so Anna can have Lady and Lilly can have Beauty, I can make mine, is that OK?)
