Our ranch is set in the middle of montana and its peaceful here | Katie: *sees Sollux running away and i mount Pixie bareback* "Guys is Sollux trying to run away?" *points to Sollux running* "I am a like bored i am going to go for a little ride" *with out anyone seeing her she trots Pixie after Sollux and sees he is headed for town THEN GALLOPS PIXIE AS FAST AS POSIBLE to camp* "SOLLUX is running away for town" *points and gallops after him* |

Now hold on my cantle - oh I don't have a saddle, um, well hold on me then and we're going back. *I spur Paquita into a canter, a slow smooth thing, and we lope back to the river.* Now, Sollux, I need to have a talk with you. sit down on that stump. *I cross my arms and look down at him.*
First off, I can't tell you how wrong it was to leave your horse without taking care of him. Sometimes you might need help, but you never Ever EVER leave your horse without at LEAST untacking him. Second, it was almost worse of you to run off. There is still a stray bear or Cougar around here from time to time and I think we've already figured out you're not a country person with good sense about wilderness living and if you were in a bad situation who knows what you'd do. Finally, by running away and leaving your horse here, our ranch could get in trouble for not only losing you, but it'd look like we stole your horse. By trying to run away you put not only yourself in danger, but many other innocent people and horses. Also, you have broken our trust and you may no longer go anywhere and I mean ANYWHERE alone. Equius, I'd like you to keep an eye on him and if he gets out of your sight it will be YOUR fault. Just be glad Ma or Pa aint here or you'd be in MUCH deeper trouble young man. *I glare at Sollux* tonight we'll do the old Indian trick to keep you from running away. Tie your wrist and ankle to Equius's. if you try to untie or cut the bonds, he'll wake up. now go and take care of your horse. Let him in the corral and fill up the 50 gallon water tank. here's two five gallon buckets. As punishment you can carry the water from the river to the tank. Sollux, *my voice softens* you have to realize you almost did something very dangerous. never do it again. the nearest town would take at least two days to get to on fott if you had stamina, which you don't. Now start carrying water. |

I filled the pail with the clear water, but it spilled before I could even take 5 steps to the water tank. I attempted to fill the bucket again. Apparently gravity hates me because the pail spilled once again, this time all over me. I noticed that Equius was sitting on the ground near me, watching me like a hawk. "Um, a little help here?" I asked. He replied with "No. Hauling the water from the river to the water tank is your punishment for trying to run off." I made a frustrated sound and finally managed to fill the bucket with water and transport it to the tank without spilling it.
Equius: It was understandable that Sollux would be a little mad at me, but he didn't have to act so rude. After all, he was the one who decided that running off was going to be a good idea! |
