Houdina's chick is so darned cute! It's about half her size right now (since Houdina is about the size of my foot, it's not hard) and covered with spiky little feathers. This is the tenth hybrid we've had hatched out at my house. The cocks always seem to take after their daddies, and Rocky's single comb skipped a generation and went to Joseph, his grandson. Rocky's son, 2.0, has a rose comb. Joseph's brother, Midas, also has a rose comb, while Houdina (and Cubalayas) have tiny little pea combs. But all the hens have pea combs, too. Go figure.
